  • Cool Avatars 2002-09-14 08:41:58 I think I'm going to start changing my avatar on the forum. Everyone has such nice avatars and they always seem to be changing. So from now on, I'm going to rotate my avatar every 50 posts. Once I get to 200. ^_^ This is going to be fun. I've already found a whole bunch of good ones. I guess I'm just going to have to write 9 more posts until I can change. Better start cracking!
  • The beginning of a long sad road 2002-09-13 23:10:19 Today I got news that my grandmother came close to dying. She had some heart problems the night before and had to go to the hospital. It wasn't bad enough to be called a heart attack, but it was still bad. She's fine now, and on medication. Although, this may just be the beginning...

These are my grandparents who live in Montréal. So, if there was any very serious trouble, we wouldn't be able to get there for at least 6 hours. Hopefully we won't have to worry about anything like that for a while. Actually, we were going to visit them this weekend, once we got the news about the heart thing. But my grandmother assured us that she was fine and all she wanted to do was rest.

So we're going to the cottage instead for the weekend. You know, to fix everything up and get it ready for the winter. This may not be our last time going up for the year, but it's nice to clean up before the snow comes down ^_^. That's all for know.
  • Ah! The first school year weekend 2002-09-08 12:51:35 Our first weekend of the school year has finally arrived. Those 2 days that you try to forget all about being in classrooms, listening to teachers and taking notes until your hand hurts. Until you find out about homework though. =(

Well, this is more of a half weekend for me. My parents decided to host a party for Saturday afternoon and night, Saturday morning. Sort of last minute. And we got a pretty good amount of people to come on the short notice too. The party was pretty good anyways. Most of the time I was entertaining the younger children, but I rather enjoyed it. They're all so innocent and carefree. ^_^ One thing I can say, is that my GameCube got quite a workout. It was on most of the day, with people always rotating turns.

Now that that day's over, it's Sunday... afternon I guess. I was going to say morning, but I got up so late, that the morning is already over! And it's time to get down to homework. I wouldn't normally have so much, but I changed my courses after a few days, and I'm now behind in my new courses. Time for work. ^_^
  • My first locked thread 2002-09-04 07:33:29 Well, that was the weirdest thing that has happened to me on the forum in a long time. One of my treads were locked by a moderator.

OK, it started like this. I made this thread on where could I download episodes of various series on the internet. My first one I made (thread) had just disappeared. I thought that was a little strange. So I made another. This one stuck around, but after a bit, it was locked. I couldn't believe it until I checked the message inside. It was from a moderator. It explained how I can't really discuss about downloading episodes on the internet. If I really wanted to see them, I should buy them.

Then whoever it was, made sure to get in a cheap shot by saying the force was not strong with me (lol). Pretty good I have to admit, but I still could have done without it.

I guess I now know where my disappeared thread went to. I bet that the moderators had deleted it. If this was the case, I wish they had informed me of it, before I could post the same thing again.
  • Today, I'm 16 2002-08-31 18:01:34 Well, today finally came. I am officially 16 years old. Actually, I didn't even remember this morning until I smelled fresh muffins. My mom was making them for breakfast, and I was like, why whould she be making those... Duh! I finally realized and then decided to take a nice shower first before breakfast.

I got upstairs and received all my happy birthdays. Had breakfast and got to open up a few presents. My relatives have no idea of what I like, so I always get checks from them. It tends to get boring, but it's a safe present. My parents got me a new hard drive (40GB) and phone for my room. I had been asking for a hard drive for a while now, but the phone was a little unexpected.

I tried putting in the hard drive and was having a lot of difficulty. I got my dad to help me, but can't exactly read a manual and be patient with it. So by the time we waster a few hours, we went to Future Shop for some help. They said that our jumper things were in the wrong positions. But it wasn't our fault, the english and french manuals were different from eachother and both were still wrong.

Well, I'm going out to dinner now. See ya.
