  • Still getting closer... 2003-01-19 09:49:50 Funny how your original plans hardly ever seem to stick. You see, I still have to finish reading my book today, A Clockwork Orange, and I still have to finish programming my computer project. Yes, i had plans to both of those, but other plans arose. Saturday was spent fixing some stuff around the house. You know, new light fixtures and cleaning. Then that night, I went out with some friends to see a movie. You have to realize, I don't go out very often. lol We went to see "A Guy Thing". The movie was ok, but it had it's funny parts. After that, I couldn't really concentrate on homework, so Messenger and posting on forums it was. Went to bed a little late, 3:00am, but I woke up not too late today. Which I'm very glad to see. In an hour and a half, I'm going to a friends house. I also have hockey at 7:30pm (so early today!). So my day has disappeared again. And not only my day, but my weekend! This always happens on Sunday morning. I take a look around, and have already figured it's already over. lol

    Damn it! I just figured out something wrong with my program! You know, I always use it at 1024 x 768. So my program looks huge on 800 x 600! Luckily it just barely fits the screen. Oh man... this could prove trouble some... lol

    You know that whole things with my wrists hurting? Well, they still do! And I just can't believe it. Though it's not nearly as bad. I am here typing up this Journal after all. It's just heavy things that hurt, like carrying a computer monitor up and down the stairs. The bending of the wrists is what hurts....

    I feel awful with myself. I haven't done my workout in 3 days now! I would have done it on Friday, but I thought I was going to go get my G1, and then I went out to dinner. Saturday, I already explained what happened. And well, I'm not going to do it right now... Looks like I'll have to wait until Monday. This is why I don't really think I really have much initiative...

  • Exams getting ever closer... 2003-01-17 20:49:21 Well, in reality, I've already had an exam, my French Oral Exam. It was pretty easy. We was given a song a few days in advance, and were told to study it. The Song itself was 11 paragraphs long. The plan was that we would study the whole thing, but would have to be graded on reading only one of the paragraphs. And then our teacher would ask us a bunch of questions on the paragraph, assuring that we understood it all. Seemed easy enough, but when it came down to it, quite a few people just had problems pronouncing their paragraph with a flowing like sound. Also, she asked difficult questions, and graded on the speed of the answer and the quality. I actually did very well on that. I answered smoothly and clearly. I got an excellent mark as well, 18.5 out of 20, so 92.5%. Not bad! Too bad it's not the written part, that's a little harder. lol

    I think I've pretty much given up trying to understand my computer. I could always keep trying, considering there is still a few problems, but I'm just tired of it. I still can't change the resolution and colours, but everything else it fine. Though quite a few AMVs don't work either... Maybe tomorrow night I'll mess with it...

    Ever feel you're popular, but you don't realize it? I don't mean popular like your average popular guy on tv, but it's hard to describe it. It's like this, most people have a group of friends that they hang out with all the time, but with me, it's not like that. It's like I have a bunch of groups of friends. It's hard sometimes, because I feel pulled between the groups. And the groups don't necessarily like eachother that much. No hate involved, just not friends. In reality, I don't think there's anybody really in school I hate, in person. I dislike a few guys because they act like f*cking idiots. Like throwing food in the cafeteria, and hitting my friend. Pisses me off when people abuse food and other people like that. Not much we can do though, since it's like 15 bigger and stronger guys against 6 smaller guys. And telling on them doesn't do much in high school. lol

    Well, I've been distracted by "Made In Canada" for half an hour. Now I've lost my train of thought for this Journal. I'll write again later tonight if I remeber anymore. ~_^ Later

  • I will never try to perfect anything again! 2003-01-14 22:31:31 Ok, so I'll only stay true to that for a few minutes, but it's driving me nuts! I have finally found those bugs everyone keeps insisting Windows ME has. Arghhh!

    You know how I said I had 800 x 600 and if I tried to adjust it, it froze on me? Well, I tried to fix it, mainly screwing everything up! I wasn't even able to get anywhere but DOS for the afternoon. I'm scared to change my keyboard! (Long story short about that, I use a keyboard that takes a USB port, but that doesn't work in DOS, so I'm using an older model.) The button are so sticky and stiff... Oh well. I tried to even re-install ME, but at 66% this stupid SUWIN error keeps stopping it. I shall kill this computer. It's keeping me from the two most important things to do right now, post on the forum, and talk to sarah! I bet everyone thinks I'm ignoring them, well, I'm not! Just busy starting, re-starting my computer, popping in new CDs, popping in new disks, re-installing so many times it hurts... Hmmm... a new computer sounds just about good now. So anyways, I don't plan to do anything drastic tonight and tomorrow. No AMVs, no testing the screen resolution options, no turning OFF! I'll just have to drown out the roaring noise of my computer with my pillow. You should hear it sometimes, it sounds like a train! ;_;

    Oh ya, had hockey tonight. We won 4-0. Great game. I had a breakaway and 3 wide open shots to the net. And not one goal! I'm really on a drought now. I COULD always blame it all on my wrists (which by the way and killing me slowly when I'm typing this up), but I hate to blame anything on anyone else, other than myself. Though my wrists are me.... Too confusing!

    I gotta go, I've had enough of this. The world just seems to be collapsing around me lately. The only upside is that homework has been moderate, since exams are next week...

  • Fixed screen, but whole new view... ;_; 2003-01-13 21:43:42 Well, I got the other video card working. Correction, my dad got it working for me. I think I know everything, but skim through it all too quickly. He doesn't act like he's knows everything, but I have to give him more credit. He went the complete way with no cuts, and got it working in no time. I'm happy now with my computer. Except there's 2 problems with it all. 1) It doesn't let me go to the section to change the colour and screen resolution size. And 2) It doesn't let me go to another section too. I forget which one, but if I try it, it freezes my computer and I have come back in and all that. Much too much time. I'll fix that tomorrow. Though I'm not used to 800 x 600! 0_0

    My wrists don't seem to be hurting nearly as much as they used to. Funny how the hockey game didn't really hurt them any more. I'm very surprised. Though I am definitely not complaining. ~_^

    I finally got to post again. A whole day and a bit without posting, just too much! LOL Things tend to get out of hand when I'm not around... What am I talking about? Things are out of hand when I'm around! LOL Well, there were some things waiting for me that I wasn't expecting, nor wanted to hear. News that I wished to never hear... I guess it's undetermined right now, but I shouldn't get my hopes up. Reminds me when Glitch Bob was about to leave MainFrame, walking down the aileway. But enough about that, no need to bum out all you happy members here on the org! ^_^....

    Goody, xams are almost here! What fun this will be!(sarcasm)

    My computer info project is coming along nicely. I'm going to create some nice pics for the introduction. Me? Create? LOL We'll see how it goes!

  • First school weekend of the New Year ! 2003-01-10 19:51:09 Just like to point out that I hurt my wrist pretty good at hockey on Wednesday. So I'm not sure how much I'll write. lol

    So ya, I have no idea how I did it, but after hockey, my right wrist was killing me. My left one hurt a little, but not as much as the right. It's weird, it's not like I was hit into the boards or fell weird. Just after taking a few shots, they felt sore again, just like the week before during our 3 on 3 tournament. After that tournament, they were sore too, but they healed, so I didn't pay attetion to it. Well, if it keeps ups, I have no idea what I'll do. Typing is difficult, and simple stuff can be hard too. But hey, I can't exactly take a night off! lol Anyways, it's so strange. Take this as an example, if you stick your arm straight out (forward and fingers sticking out), it's fine. Tip your wrist up and down, and it's still fine. Turn wrist left and right, and man does it hurt. But it's slowly getting better! Though I do have another game on Sunday... 0_o lol

    Comedy Fridays on CBC! I love them! Though Royal Canadian Air Farce seems to be getting a bit old. It's still funny, but there routines seem to have lost their charm. Made In Canada is back on! You know the commercial I was talking about before, this is the show. It's pretty good. And all new episodes too! (what a coincidence, the "plasma" commercial was just on!, lol) Mr. Bean seems to be coming back to Comedy Fridays too. Starting next Friday at 7:00pm, ^_^. Oh ya, The Red, Green Show is always great too!.

    I really don't want to jynx it, but Messenger seems to be working well again. Shhh... not so loud! The computer can hear you. lol

    I saw the coolest thing a couple of days ago. It was the GameBoy Advance SP. Don't you just love the forum for information like that! ^_^

    LMAO, today we got to try out thw Robitussin (sp?) commercial. Just had to wait for the right time in Math class, and when someone coughed, ROBITUSSIN! I wasn't even thinking about it, but somone said "Bless You!" to someone who sneezed. So the next time when someone coughed, and someone said "Blees you!", my friend sitting next to me and I said, "Robitussin!". We all had a good laugh. ^_^
