Carnival day!
2003-05-30 17:45:31
Yup, today was Carnival day at school. It was a regular school day (with every priod shortened) until 1:00pm, then we got to go around outside. There was all these inflatable rides, we had rotating bands, there was beach volleyball, and a big soccer game in the back field. Not only that, we got our Yearbooks!
Well, with all the excitement, I haven't had lunch. I am so totally starving. Luckliy dinner should be soon... Then again, I just remembered we're having guests over! That means we're not eating early, we're eating later than usual! -_-
It may have been fun, but I was so stressed out today too! Everyone was getting people to sign their Yearbooks, and I was doing the same. I got a lot of my friends, but I struggled ALL day in working up the courage to ask a few of the people I like. Finally, by the end of the day, I couldn't take the standing around anymore. I went in. I asked 3 girls who I used to know pretty well, to sign my Yearbook. I say used to, because it's like your group of friends changes every year, due to the change of classes. Last year, I was in 2 out of 4 of their classes (all 3 of them). Not only that, I sat beside a couple of them for both classes! So I got to know them pretty well. This year, only one class with each of them out of the whole year! It's such a shame. -_-
Anyways! I asked them, and they said they'd love to. You don't know how much courage I had to build up! Then, I saw one of my teachers from last semester. She's been in Australia and New Zealand for the past 2 months! Talk about awesome. Anyways, I really like this teacher, so I had to go say hi. Well, it looked like she was heading home, so I had to take another deep breath, and run over to her. Geez, could I be anymore nervous? She noticed right away that I wasn't wearing my glasses (I almost never wore my contacts last semester). She told me about her trip, and sgined my Yearbook. ^_^
Well, all in all, it was a pretty successful day. Other than getting hit in the face with a soccer ball and having to clean up the blood (-_-), it was awesome. I guess that's why they called it "Awesome Fest". lolol

What's wrong with me lately?
2003-05-30 06:39:01
I have been so totally exhausted, but I've been getting more sleep than ever. It's really weird...
Yesterday morning I could barely wake up. I ended getting an insane amount of sleep (8 hours). Then last night, I fell asleep lying on my bed, curled up in a ball for an hour and a half. I woke up just in time to say goodnight to my parents and go to sleep for the night o_0. Then, I could barely move this morning. I woke up, couldn't get out of bed, and my shower is just kicking in. Normally this only happens if I get like 5 hours of sleep, not 8 or something dumb like that.
I guess I should just hope there's nothing wrong, I the next time this happens, pull through on pure will power alone. If I feel tired, get out of bed, and do something. I can't give in to such simple urges. ~_^
I had some really weird dreams last night. And as usual, I can barely remember any of them. It's all such a blur. The only one I can be sure about is the last one I had this morning. I was lying on my bed (on the covers, no in them), with a girl who I've had a crush on for a long time. This was all in my old room upstairs (really weird). I was lying on my side, facing her, and she was lying on her side facing the other way. I put my hand on her arm, and as soon as I did so, she turned facing me and held my hand in her hands. Then she placed my hand on her face, which was so incredibly soft. She said, "You don't know how long I've wanted to hold you like this" (but considering this was my dream, I think that was just how I was feeling). After a few minutes of just staring, some of my friends just came in, turned on the lights, and just started chatting. For some reason I felt like I needed to mess with my alarm clock, so I got off the bed, went to my clock, and started pressing buttons. Next thing you know, it was going off! Well, no wonder! The real one beside my bed was going off. I guess it was time to wake up. That is so crazy how my subconscoius knew that my alarn was about to turn on, so it incorperated the whole thing into my dream! That is totally amazing! Too bad though. lol

Mmmm... Jello...
2003-05-29 18:30:19
I just went to the dentist this afternoon. I had to get a filling for one of my teeth. So in other words, half of my mouth has been numb for the past 2˝ hours. It's so cool to feel. Or should I say, not feel. ~_^ lol
You know how you can tighten your mouth shut, and move it to side to side? Well, I just realized that when you tighten, youy upper lip stretched outwards, not just forces downward. How do I know this? When I shut my mouth and tighten, my upper lip moves to the left side. In other words, the right side is not pulling at the same time (since it's numb), so keep the lip centered! It's fun to play with, but my mouth is getting tired trying to correct the movement. lol
Other than that, it's very hot out. I have a feeling this summer is going to be crazy.
:: goes to have dinner ::
hehehe I decided not to cut off this Journal entry so short.
Darn it! I feel like I had something very big to talk about... but I can't remember what it was. -_-
There's a street garage sale on Saturday. It should be fun. It's always a great way to pick up a few things I might like. I've never really been one to sell anything, but I do like to shop around. Then, there's the Yonge Street sale on Sunday. People like to declare it the Longest Street Sale in the world, because (to the best of my knowledge) Yonge Street is the longest street in the world. So it's a cool idea to have a street sale on that very same street! lol I normally just blade around.
But what do you know, my project is due on Monday. Things just seem to always fit right into place. ~_^ -_-
Soccer's been fun... oh no! I just remembered! I'm presenting a presentation about the rules of Goaltending in soccer. I almost forgot! Hmmm... I better think of a creative way to demonstrate the rules... :: thinks ::

Time... there's always too little of it, or too much of it...
2003-05-28 19:03:38
Project due on Monday. Me = dead (sounds familiar? Just like my last one!)
I just watched the second Tenchi movie, Tenchi the movie 2 (duh), the Daughter of Darkness. It was pretty good. I'm starting to really like all the Tenchi stuff. ^_^
I was so tired today. Which is really weird, because I got the most sleep during a school night that I have in probably months. Looks like the more sleep I get, the worst off I am! j/k I've got to fix my alarm for tomorrow, so I don't sleep in again.
I got rid of a good chunk of files on my computer. I have like a GB of space on my HD now. It's quite a relief. But I can't stop there, because there's always a lot more files to move off. ~_^
Hmmm... I wanted to put up some more posters in my room, but to do so, I'd have to move my mirror. It's a really heavy one, so I'll have to find a good spot to move it to...
I haven't played GameCube in about 3 weeks now. I can't believe it. Maybe I'll start again when exams are over... but that's in a month. lol
I love listening to music in my room when my computer's off. Sounds weird, right? Well, I have a very loud computer. The cover is off, and that only makes it worse. So I have a constant buzzing, chugging and fan sound in my room. So I actually turned it on much later than usual today, just to enjoy the quiet, and then the soothing music. ^_^

That peaceful feeling in your heart
2003-05-27 20:30:21
I guess you could say this has a lot of what I was talking about with .hack//SIGN before.
Anyone seen the first Pokémon movie? Anyone actually paid attention to the ending credits? No, I didn't think so. lol
Anyways, it's just a bunch of scenes with the whole gang walking around the country. There's some mountain shots, some ocean shots, some field shots... For some reason, those scenes just gave me this really nice feeling inside. It was just so calming. I can't explain why, but I felt like that. I just started thinking about it because of the song "We're a Miracle" by Christina Aguilera. The ending credits use several samples of songs, and this one just made me think back to the first time I saw the movie. It was a nice reminiscent... ^_^
Soccer's been great, Shelter's been hard, Art's been tiring and Physics has been the usual. Nothing special there. lol
No more new Pokémon episodes. But there's still new Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes. That should keep me content. ~_^
lolololol
I have the Viz graphic novel of Pokémon. I actually like it. Anyways, a long time ago, I found a site that showed some of the differences between the English one and the Japanese one. The first time I saw it, I laughed so much! And for some reason, I just started thinking about it again today. Most of the edits all had to do with one thing... the female anatomy! Go figure. -_- I guess they wanted to make their target audience a bit younger. Ok, I admit, some of the stuff was a little extreme. Like, how old is Misty? She's 12 right? Well, did you see what bathing suit she was wearing, and how well she fit into it?!?! lolol So almost all the edits had to do with "downsizing". When in doubt, make their entire shirt black, so you can't see anything. lol Anyways, other than some good and some stupid edits, the whole thing is actually pretty good. ^_^
