  • Last weekend before exams... 2003-06-14 11:02:58 Princess Saku:
    You know you can always just resize a pic to make it fit the measurements given. Not just find one that fits. Do you have PhotoShop? If not, anything really works. Even MS Paint, to a certain degree that is. Just make sure the width is smaller that 400 pixels. K?

    Other:
    I've been little by little fixing up my site. Though I haven't put any graphics, so it looks extremely plain and boring. Maybe I'll work on that a bit more this summer. After summer school though. -_- Who ever wanted to take a Acceleration Calculus class in the summer? lol

    I watched the first part of .hack//SIGN this morning, but then thought I should work on some of my notes for the exams. They're only next week. ~_^

    I slept really weird last night. On top of my covers, in my regular clothes and with the light on! How did I manage that? Well, whenever I'm tired, I tend to lie on my bed just to get comfortable. Sometimes I fall asleep, but it's never more than an hour. Last night though I did that at 1:00am, so I ended up sleeping until 6:00am. 5 hours?!?! Too long for a nap, not long enough for a full night's sleep. After realizing that I was still fully dressed and everything, I decided to finish up and went back to sleep until 9:00am. But not before turning on my stereo, and putting it on repeat on the same CD. Funny thing was that I woke up every hour and 20 minutes just in time to hear my fav songs. lol

    Who knows what the rest of the day will bring... ~_^

    Really? Your buddy list? I don't know how people can stand to read my Journal so often. lol And talk about crazy, because you're on mine too! I think I added you when I last reviewed your AMVs... I think the Renamon one.

    No worries, not trying to set you up. lol I don't think I'd ever set my brother up with anyone. He's always such a grouch and a pain. I don't know how most people stand him. He's like an opposite of myself, though we look quite alike. Only differences are that I keep my hair shorter, and wear my contacts most of the time. He has longer hair (not long long) and always wears his glasses.

    Oh ya, he doesn't like Harry Potter. Never talks about it. And when people bring it up, he just sighs and pretty much ignores it. lol

    Others:
    Today was the stereotypical day for a Friday the 13th. In other words, it wasn't too great, except for the most recent parts.

    First, I woke up late again and rushed to get all ready. You know I have Tennis in the morning, so I have to walk and leave early. Once I was ready, I found out it was raining. In other words, I'm all ready, but now have to wait another 15 minutes to get a ride straight to school.

    Got to school, and had our gym class. It was pretty good. We played volleyball, and I was really into the game. I was diving all over the place, and my serving was pretty good. Though I scratched up my knees and elbows pretty good. Even better was the fact that a girl I really like was on my team, and we got to compliment eachother on the others playing the whole time. ~_^

    Bad news time. I forgot my regular clothes! I put my gym clothes on in the morning first thing, because I normally go straight to the Tennis courts. But with the change in plans, I forgot to pack my regular clothes in my bag. I had to go around all day wearing out school's white t-shirt, and these red shorts. I felt so weird, but I didn't let it get to me.

    Got to Physics class, found out that my results in my lab were all wrong! I had to redo it in class. That ate up a bit of time.

    :: My scraped elbows are rubbing on my desk when typing. It's starting to get aggrivated. -_- ::

    After Physics was lunch. That was one of the noisiest periods ever! My guess it was because it was raining, so most of the people were inside now. And because our cafeteria is also the auditorium, there were preformances being done for some drama classes. I was used to that, but since it was the last day, they decided to present it to the entire crowd eating lunch (like me). But they had no audio equipment, so they tried to contend with the loud conversation of the lunch crowd. It never got off hte ground and they gave up and went back to presenting privately to their teacher. Too bad, it looked quite good.

    Went to art next. It was so uncomfortable. Why? Yesterday I wrote a compliment in this girl's Yearbook, though I wasn't sure if I should or not. I really like her, but I was torn between saying something that might hint to my liking her, or just saying something nice. All I know is that ever since I did, I've been even more nervous around her than usual. I might as well hide under the desk. -_-

    Shelter class now. Guess what? I'm still wearing my gym clothes! And I've already had to make several explantions to friends about having gym first period, that I come to school in gym clothes and that I forgot my regular clothes. I did like nothign this class. But I was paged down to the office to pick up something. It just happened to be a something I needed at 2nd period, not 5th! My mom brought in my signed test first period (because she forgot to give it back to me) and they were supposed to call me down to pick it up in time to hand it in for 2nd period. I guess they forgot. Thanks. -_-

    Got home just in time to do yardwork! I spent 2 hours doing yardwork. I don't mind at all, because it was my choice to take the longer way of doing it. Though the musquitos were awful. Since it was still really wet, they were all over the place. And guess what we have right now that is tranferred by musquitos? The West Nile Virus! Though I'm not worried at all. It's not something too big to worry about, it's just funny how people blow things out of proportion. lol

    Now for some good things! After that, I showered and asked if I could get some movies and wings. My mom agreed, and we all went out. I picked up .hack//SIGN (2nd volume), she got something, my brother got something and I bought Resident Evil. It was only $15 (Canadian). Talk about a good price. Though Friday the 13th kicked in, by it having to instruction booklet. I should have expected it because it was previously used.

    :: I should rap this up ::

    We picked up the chicken wings (50 pack) and enjoyed them at home. My brother watched his movie (8 mile), and I took my time eating. Now I've been here enjoying some downtime. Though I might go check if he's done with the DVD player so I could watch .hack//SIGN... ~_^

    Ok, I have to admit, I almost never look at your Journal. Just the occasional time. And as luck would have it, today was one of those days. I'm juct lucky, because I'd hate to find out sometime down the road you'd have said something, and I would have never responded. I'm always worried someone may think I'm ignoring them, when in reality I just missed it. lol -_-

    Anyways, to comment on that...

    Have you met my brother? lol He's pretty much a Harry Potter himself. A few people made that connection with him about when the second Harry Potter film came out. He's got the glasses, and the messy hair. Though he hasn't been described like that for awhile now.

    But this is the weirdest part... Today when we were at our golf lessons, I was standing beside him, and noticed his profile looked a lot like Harry Potter. First time this thought came into my mind for a long time. Next thing I know, later that day I read about you looking like a Harry Potter (girl). Talk about a coincidence! lol

    True, my Journal is my Journal. But one thing I take into consideration is this. I'm writing my thoughts and feelings into a Journal that is publicly viewed. So in my opinion, I have a certain obligation to uphold. I have to realize whatever I say, a few people will actually read it. Not only that, I need to make some sense in my Journals. What's the point to letting people take a look into my life if they're unable to understand it? lol ~_^

    I really should do my homework now. I've been falling asleep all over the place (fell alseep while watching Yu-Gi-Oh! a few hours ago), and it's already late. Have a good night everyone. ^_^

  • The final days... 2003-06-12 20:25:07 Yup, these are the last days of school. Or as my friend would say "Hell Week". lol

    I'm glad all my bigger projects have already been handed in, it helps spread things out a bit. Now all I have are a few more, smaller ones, and then the exams. As usual, I'll stody pretty late for them, but I think this year I'll put in more of an effort to get to know the stuff. I normally barely try, but my grades are starting to count for something.

    Some of my friends are trying to convince me that I look like an anime character. Sounds weird, huh? Well, it's not even like they know I like anime or anything like that. She was looking at me, and out of nowhere said I look like a "cartoon character, or one of those animes guys". That really surprised. Then today (she first said it yesterday), the guy sitting behind her was staring at me for a few seconds. I was looking back, and was wondering what was going on. Then he said that he agreed with her. I asked about what, and he said that I do look like a cartoon character.

    This is all when I wear my contacts though. But I'm beginning to have an idea why now. I think it's because I have a plain face. I'm serious here. Unlike a lot of people, I don't believe I have any distinguishing features (facial hair, rough skin, lots of freckles...). And since most anime characters have rather plain faces, this matches me pretty well. They said the only thing I need is some crazy hair, which I was just about to say, is what most anime characters rely on to distinguish themselves from others. Anyways, I don't take this as a compliment, or an insult. It's just weird. lol

    :: Maybe I'm just tired, but I'm having a lot of trouble re-reading all of this Journal. Is it really that scattered? ::

    Well, I need to go. I have another part of my Art project due tomorrow, so I should finish it off right now, before I fall asleep with my face in my keyboard. ~_^

  • Yay! Sleep = bad 2003-06-10 23:29:16 I just realized that the server time on the Org is an hour behind my own time. So I guess whenever I say it's late, you might be thinking I'm a little crazy. Well, I'm really an hour ahead! Just thought I'd point that out. ~_^

    I'm back to getting little sleep. I'm just happy that it hasn't caught up to me yet. I'm not too tired after getting my 5 hours yesterday. I have a feeling tonight will be the same because I just got home, and I need to finish my gym final project. -_-

    I was just at a baseball game, the Toronto Blue Jays. This was my first time in a long time. I always said I hated watching baseball, but in reality, it's not that bad. Though my highlights were trying not to get hit by foul balls, and watching the funny sign the umpire makes when it's a strike. He does this pointy crooked finger thing with one hand, and a fist behind it with the other hand. Definitely hilarious.

    The Jays won again! They've been hot for awhile now, after having a terrible start. They beat the Pirates 13-8 or something. There was so much scoring at the beginning, it was crazy!

    Princess Saku:
    I'm glad you finally found a pic you liked. I'm guessing the reason it wasn't working before was because all the pics were too big, right? Anyways, this new one is really nice. Love the thumbs up.

    Well, I'm home now. I'm clean after taking a shower. And I'm not that tired. Though tomorrow I'll die. Hmmm... I have an art presentation to go to. This should be fun. It's an award presentation, so I get to miss a period. I wonder if I'll get one... doubt it. Considering I'm not even close to finishing my final exam. lol

    I think I've become obsessed with the song "I'm with you" by Avril Lavigne, and "Everywhere" by Michelle Branch. I've always liked them, but I'm always listening to them now. Weird... ~_^

    As I can I see, I was really tired last night. I was reading over my Journal entry, and there were so many mistakes! Well, I've never been one to read over my own work, so I can't really blame me. lol
