JOURNAL: Hotta_Bushi (John Valeu)

  • WOW someone(s) is actually reading this. 2003-10-10 00:54:33 A whole 2 people!!!

Anyway. Not much in the way of stuff going on.
Have to work tonight, but at least I have the 3 day weekend coming up.

I still have my idea, I just need to purchase End of Evangelion and figure out how to decode my DVDs... Then once I get my system I can get started on MY video.
  • an echo from the past... 2003-10-08 21:23:08 See? It's a joke... echo...echo...
Aww well, It's not like anyone's reading this anymore.

It was my old buddy Kirk trying to contact me. Glad to see he's still in one piece. I really should point him in this direction. Maybe he'll actually donate.
  • Ah Echo from the past... 2003-10-07 20:18:30 Nothing gets me wierded out more then receiving a strange IM/PM/Email from someone that reviels a little bit of info about you (like real name or something semi-personal), and that person either A: you have know idea who it is, or B: they don't say who they are.

It just happened to me. I got a PM from someone and I think I know who they are, but I'm unsure. Of course, I only use 2 aliases when I'm online (besides this one which is only for this site).

I really wish this machine I'm on at work had DivX on it so I could view these videos I found...

Anyway, stay safe and use protection.

  • Day 125... 2003-10-05 03:16:09 Looks like my Shadowrun story's coming along. Lots of people that read it like it. If you're interested and know what Shadowrun is: http://shadowrun.netfirms.com/timekeeper/contents.html

Actually ran into a mythical creature the other day.
The Hot Gamer Chick: I know of a few gamer chicks out there, but they were average at most. Not to knock anyone on this board (not like you people email me anyways) but then again most gamers tend to take what they get and they've learned that they're not going to get the supermodel looking ladys.

I think I'll go off on a cosine here (don't really care for tangents) but I believe that there are 3 major groups that usually male-dominated
The Anime Group, the Role Players and the Gamers. Each have they're own sub-groups but for the most part they're grouped in with each other (of course you don't insult a White Wolf player by asking him questions about D&D. Unless you want to get a mean, and I mean MEAN, look. And a threat that he'll suck your blood.)

Now picture the groups as 3 circles. Each has a small section that overlaps with the other 2 and in the center is where all 3 mesh.
Most people happily overlap into at least one of the other areas and some very luckly few (hundread... thousand) are in the center.

Where was I going with this? oh yeah. Girls. Now back when I was in Pseudo-College (don't ask. On second thought, I'd like to hear from you. Go ahead and ask.) I met a girl there (imagine that!) that showed me the true wonders of anime. Now before this, the only stuff I saw was what they showed on Toonami (this was back in 1999-2000), The Guyver, Akira, and Robotech. But she showed me Dirty Pair Flash and the one that got me and my entire Roleplaying group hooked, The Slayers. She showed me the path to wonders. Too bad that I destroyed a perfectly good friendship.

Now flash laterally (not forward, not backwards, but around the same time. Just in another area.) I started hanging out at this little place called The Deep Resonance back when I was in High School. Well, they went through an upgrade and became Dumpshock. This was where I was introduced to the concept of the Roleplaying Female. I now know that they do exsist.

Now just this weekend I saw a Gaming Girl. The fact that she was purchasing Armored Core 3 got my attention. And the fact that she didn't know about Soul Calibur 2 but was VERY interested in it was another thing. Oh and she was hot. My first thought was "gift for boyfriend", but when she asked about SC2, and I rattled off my personal experince with it including a comparison to the first, then she compared the tech specs of the old Dreamcast and the PS2, I was awestruck.

Where am I going with this? Oh yeah, the fact that most females in those 3 groups are average. Now, first some background. Personally, I judge apperances. But only in the same was that I just graphics in a videogame.
If they look nice, great. But if there's no content, then there's just no reason.

That Anime girl I talked about? She'd be a 7.5 overall. She wasn't that great looking, but she wasn't that bad either. She liked anime, was very intelligent, was willing to learn how to RP and I REALLY screwed up when I broke our friendship.

One of my ex's I would rate at a 7. She RPed, like certain anime was fairly attractive, but then her attutide kicked in.

This girl that I met? I'd start her off at 6, just based on looks and knowledge. Is that shallow? No. It's like seeing some screenshots and reading about some of a new game's features. Inital impressions are great, but what about the rest?

I'll leave that up to you.

    Thank you and good night.

  • Thanks Phade 2003-09-30 06:22:43 Yes, let me know that I'm 119 days over do. (Has it been that long already?)

Well, with getting a car and finding a new place to live, things might be awhile. End of the year, promise.

Well, San Diego lost to Oakland. BY A FREAKIN FIELD GOAL. IN OVER TIME!!!! THEY WERE DUE!!!! WTF!!!!!!!

Oh, if any of you like to RP, not just play FF but the actual pen and paper kind with human interaction, head on over to (www.bulldrek.com).

It's like a aslyum for Role-players. And by aslyum I mean all the insane people are there. (you have been warned and I take no responability for any hemmorages, commitments to local institutions, or spontanious combustion that happens.)
