  • Drugs only make you stupid... 2002-05-15 12:57:25 Yes, that is true. I don't want to hear from you "enlightened" thinkers either...

Ok sorry about that. I had a washed up photographer try and convince me that the meaning of life was held within drugs and hallucinagenics. Sorry, I just find it stupid. My meaning hasn't been placed and it won't be able to be manifested by some pill or plant. Gah. I'll find my path and that immaterial possession that makes me happy. It'll just take time. And no, the answer to the ultimate question is not 42 ^_^

Anyway, enough about that. I'm in a good mood today, well, better then any other day this past week. Maybe it's because I get paid today and I'm buying a paid of turntables off this guy I know. 375 for 2 turntables, a brand new mixer, and 4 new cartridges. I'll get the stats soon.
  • Penny Arcade owns your soul... 2002-05-14 18:57:53 I got my new Penny Arcade shirt in the mail today! ROCK! Wang-Fu! mwahaha. That's all for now.
  • Nicole--- 2002-05-14 17:45:32 "my best ideas come when I'm depressed"
Yes, Chaos Theory states that new ideas arise from conflict ^_^ I can much relate.
  • oh yeah... 2002-05-13 12:55:51 Moby's new CD "18"....I was expecting a little more of a drastic change from his other stuff. Alas, we didn't get that at all. He has changed to sort of conform into the Underworld crowd. But he's still strictly, old Moby. Still has the old gospel record clips, and is still very repedetive. "We Are Made of Stars" is pretty good, but that cliche looped sound still lingers in each measure. One of the songs that really stuck out on this cd was "Signs of Love" which has ambient strings played in the background which sends chills up my spin like the music from the old Lucasarts game "The Dig" did in the past. Of course, he sings a lot more on this CD, which is great! His ability to match his voice with his music failed on his last CDs, it seems he's pulled it off on 18.

All in all, Moby will most likely single out all the songs on the CD, so go buy the "Signs of Love" and "We Are All Made of Stars" singles when they come out. The rest is primarily your cliche Moby sound of loops and gospel. Maybe I'm just looking for something new, and I couldn't find it hear.
  • I hate being the third man... 2002-05-13 12:39:13 Yeah. Went to work last night for my scheduled first day and it appears that there were 3 hired on (including me) and me, being the youngest, was told to come back later once another shift required my assistance...fuck...this throws my plans back quite someway because I know I there probably won't be another shift opened for a week or so.

    Oh well.
