JOURNAL: GAlbright (Garrett Albright)

  • Planet Bob... 2002-05-14 22:30:05 53 downloads, 0 reviews so far. Le sigh... Come on, folks, let me know what you think!

My next project: Rebuilding "Pain for Pleasure." (HD problems took out the original... sigh...) Prob'ly gonna wait 'til the thick of finals are done before I start, though.
  • Bastards! 2002-05-14 14:48:37 Oh, those wacky yuks at OpenOSX are at it again, selling copies of open source software to unsuspecting buyers who don't know that, for just a tad more effort, they can get it for themselves for free. What God damn scum.

AbsoluteDestiny: Eh? I don't get it. Oh... wait... no... yes, here it comes... oh. Okay, I get it now. :P
  • Here we go again! 2002-05-14 11:38:30 ErMaC:
I've "ghosted" MAX 300, but I haven't actually tried it yet - from my success at ghosting, I think that I could maybe just possibly barely pass it maybe but not entirely likely. :P Usually what I'll do is pick two songs I'm fairly certain I can probably pass for my first two songs, then Roulette for the third, and it hasn't rouletted to MAX 300 yet.

Regarding MAXX Unlimited, have you seen this

    and read this

    ?

FREEZES ARE 3V1L! Especially when you KNOW that you've kept your feet perfectly straight on the correct panels... and it ends up coming up "N.G." anyway. 3V1L, 1 T3LL J00! 1 4M L33T H4X0RZ!
  • Done! 2002-05-14 04:47:49 While I should have been working on one of my finals, I finished "Planet Bob" instead. Why not go check it out?

Holy crap, ErMaC just did the reply-to-a-journal-entry-with-a-new-journal-entry thing with me. Wasn't expecting that. :) So I guess it's my turn now. Where I play 7th Mix is at Scandia in Rohnert Park, which is by Santa Rosa. It's got an arcade, mini-golf, bumper boats, batting cages, the whole nine yards. They've also got PPP, which is fun for drawing/pleasing crowds (I have these absolutely wackball routines I do to Speedway and I Wanna Dance (which I can do entirely with the lower part of my body) on Hard mode), but no longer poses much of a challenge to me.

It actually used to be 3rd Mix Korean, but they converted it last Thursday. I'm happy to get about a jillion more songs, and most of them completely new, but I know I'm gonna miss some of those kick-ass Korean songs... Sung Suk (?) was a fave of mine, and the rest (except for that lame boy-band-ish one) were pretty cool too.

I don't think I've played Look At Us yet; it doesn't ring a bell. As for The Whistle Song, did you know that the guy in the song originally says "Blow my whistle, bitch!" instead of "baby!"? Yeah, you can download it through your music piracy network of choice... I was disappointed. "Blow my whistle, baby!" doesn't have quite the same punch.

I've got to get up at 8:00 tomorrow. Gotta go post in the Announcements forum, and then sleep. It's almost two hours past my bedtime.
  • Laaaa... laaaaa.... la la la la la... 2002-05-14 02:57:28 The trance/techno/dance (it's all the same to me :P ) remix of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (yes, from Wizard of Oz) in DDR Max 2 is a trip.

Well, the "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" part is a trip, anyway. The rest is boring.

And as for pure fun, you can't beat that... oh, dang, what was it called? That song that was also on Samba de Amigo... "Janeiro" something... LOTS of jumps, LOTS of airtime.

Yeah... I just found out that I might be able to move into a buddy's apartment for next school year instead of being in the dorms again... sharing the apartment will definitely be cheaper, and I'd get my own room; the problem is that, just like my current dorm, it's on the second floor! That prob'ly means no home version of DDR again... Dammit, some of the guys at Scandia are such dicks, and I'm tired of wasting my money there.

I just watched this documentary of a few AMV creators hanging out at a con:
    http://www.animemusicvideos.org/video.php?v=6371
I've never been to a con before; I'm surprised so much alcohol is involved... I really can go my day without seeing/hearing people vomit, you know. I live in a college dorm. I get enough of it already.

Why the hell are you reading this? Don't you have something better to do? Or at least a more interesting person's journal to read? Well, thanks anyway for showing interest in me, I suppose.
