  • Hey all... 2002-05-16 17:53:09 If you liked EK's MP3, also check out The Incredible Moses Leroy; they have a very similar sound. In fact, that's who I thought did that song until I looked at the MP3's annotation thingies and saw otherwise.

I just opened a peanut shell that had three nuts in it.
  • w00t! 2002-05-16 17:42:36 I did it! I beat Waka Laka... twice! C on the first time, B on the second.

See, this is why DDR is so great. Ya set up these goals for yourself, and then you knock 'em down and... it's great!
  • Star Wars II... 2002-05-16 16:24:02 Better than the first one. Or maybe I just understood it more. There was a lot less Jar Jar, I can tell you that...

What's up with Lucas' transitions? Always a vertical wipe or a horizontal wipe or a diagonal wipe or a radial wipe...

EK, if you're reading this: Bandwidth leeches suck. Go get 'em. BTW, have you considered looking into an anti-leech CGI script? They're out there, and a couple of them are even freeware. :) I was going to look into one myself for AnRe soon.
  • Oh yeah, almost forgot: 2002-05-15 18:27:11 I started rebuilding Pain for Pleasure today. I'll have it done in a jiffy.

And my next project? Well... I don't wanna say anything for fear that someone will thief my idea and do it before me (and maybe better, too :P ), but I'm gonna use Tenchi Muyo!. It'll be my first AMV that actually uses anime. :) Maybe I'll even submit this one to a con or two. We'll see.
  • Daa, daa, da da da DAAA, da, da da da DAAA, da, da da da DAAAAAAA... 2002-05-15 18:23:52 So I'm doint the whole Star Wars thing tonight; gonna go to the midnight show. Not that I'm that big of a screaming Star Wars fan, but it's nice to get out of this place and hang out with my friends for a while, even if two thirds of it is going to be spent waiting in line. :P

Problem is that I've got a Theatre final to perform at 9:20 in the morning tomorrow, so I'm not going to be getting much sleep... and that bums me out, 'cuz I really like getting much sleep. Oh, the sacrifices I make to socialize! :P

Actually, my theatre group WAS going to just tape our performance last night, so I'd be editing it right about now, if things went according to plan - but they didn't. The dude who was gone for rehearsals all last week due to lacrosse shows up half-stoned to the taping, looks at the script that took me about ten hours altogether to write (a take-off of a scene in Twelfth Night), and basically says, "I haven't read this, but it's crap and we're not using it!" And so everyone else (who have had no other theatre experience in their lives) says, "Yeah!" And then he says "We'll just get up there and IMPROV it!" And everyone else says, "Yeah!"

It never ceases to amaze me how theatre n00bs constantly think that improvisation is easy.

But, ya know, it's funny. After watching our project go up in a ball of flames for half an hour with these ridiculous ideas this dude is spewing and everyone else is accepting as gospel... the ideas slowly turn back to what I had outlined in the script. And, by the time two hours had passed (just taping the damn thing prob'ly wouldn't have taken more than one), we were back to using my script again. Only this time, we're gonna do it live on stage, off book (so there will have to be some improvisation, 'cuz NONE of them are going to memorize their lines; if we would have just TAPED the damn thing like we originally were going to, this would be a non-issue), and... they're going to do the improv game thing where they have lines in their pocket and occasionally pull one out and say it.

And they think their chances of getting an A are better this way.

God, I should have jumped ship ten minutes into the thing and started work on a solo project. But unfortunately I'm just not that much of a dick.

Wish I were, though. It'd be better for me.
