Wow. I remember when I used to make vids.
I never did get that wisdom tooth pulled, by the way, and I don't really want to. I kinda like having the idea of having more teeth.

Just in case you care...

After three months or so of idleness, I've started working on my next AMV again, even though it seriously looks like I have no chance of making it to Ani-Magic this fall - there's just no money. I'm gonna be really strapped.
So... yeah.

That would be REALLY wrong.

Hey EK... those PhotoShop Wars pics are great! Why not mention 'em on Fata's forum on AnRe? If you don't do it, *I* will... :)
By the way, I thought of a very very very WRONG movie poster, but I think I lack the PhotoShopping 5k1llz (or, in my case, GIMP 5k1llz) to do it. But feel free to steal the idea, if you really want to offend folks. Here goes: Spike as Shaggy, Faye as Daphne, Ed as Velma, and Jet as the blonde dude whose name I can't remember at the moment. And, of course, Ein as Scooby.
Progress on my next vid is still progressing slowly. What else is new? Oh well, there's still plenty of summer left.

Ih huh hun hah here...

So one of my wisdom teeth is coming in on my upper-left side.
It feels really weird having my teeth in inbalance.
(BTW, the topic is supposed to be me saying "it's the one back here" with my mouth open and my finger in it pointing to the tooth.)

I now hate gravel roads.

So I was on duty for making deliveries at my pizza joint job tonight. w00t! For some reason, a lot of the other employees don't like it, but I love it; I get to get outside, listen to the radio, drive around town... and I always go home with a little bit o' spendin' cash in my pocket from tips. (Tonight I bagged a respectable $19.10.)
However, I had a rather hellish experience during one delivery tonight...
Okay, so I was supposed to deliver to a house on "Shade Lane," right? I look at the map, and Shade Lane comes straight out of Hillside Drive (or something like that) after Hillside Drive turns to the right. So I figure, okay, I'll just keep headin' straight on this road until it turns into Shade Lane. I can't miss it.
So I'm drivin' along and I come to a fork in the road; one road turns to the right, and one goes straight (and turns into a gravel road; this was a rural part of town). So I figure the road that turns is Hillside, and the straight one is Shade Lane. So I head straight onto the gravel road... which suddenly goes DOWN a steep hill.
I actually stopped the car at the top of the hill and got out and peered down to make sure I was actually going down a road and not just off a cliff. Well, it looks like it's still a road... so I get in the car and slowly ease it down the hill, riding the brake. The road turns and goes downhill some more...
Then the gravel stops and it turns into a dirt road. It looked like mud that had dried recently... and, quite freakily... there were a few undistinguishable articles of clothing half-buried in the middle of the road. Ahead, I could see that the road continued on between brambles and high grasses.
At this point, I'm thinking, "There's no way that anybody lives on this road, and if they do, I do NOT want to meet them." So I three-point turn and point the beat-up Ford station wagon we do deliveries in back up the hill.
It goes up to the point where the road turns, and keeps going... and slows.... and stops. It can't make it up the hill in the deep gravel.
I stop the car. Then I SLAM on the gas... I hear the wheels spin, the motor rev, and stones smacking against the bottom of the car... as I go nowhere. I try it again. I shift the automatic transmission into first and try it again. I make no progress up the hill.
So right now, I'm freaking out. I get out of the car and grab some thick branches from the side of the road and put them under the back wheels of the car, so that way they wouldn't just be digging into gravel. Of course I still make no progress... 'cuz it's a front-wheel-drive car. But even after I figured that out, it did no good; the ruts the front tires dug themselves into was just too deep.
I'm freaking out now. It would NOT look good to have to go to someone's house, call the pizza joint, and ask them to get a tow truck out to pick me up. Problem solving time...
Okay. I can't get anywhere because the front wheels are stuck in ruts, right? So I backed up the car about a meter to get the tires out of the ruts, then turned the wheel away from them and slammed the gas. This worked... for about half a meter, before the wheel began to violently jerk left and right under my hands as the car swung to the left and right, but not forward.
Okay. I have one idea left. This had better work.
Carefully, I backed the car back down to the dirt road area at the bottom of the hill, where it was flat. I shifted it into Drive, grasped the wheel, and slammed on the gas.
The car picked up momentum, then hit the hill. I was still going at a good clip when I got to the turn, but that was the easy part. My foot did not lift a speck from the accelerator as I hit the portion of the hill with the deep gravel. The car slowed its pace... gradually... up... up... very slowly now, but up... now faster... faster...
I made it to the top of the hill, and back onto pavement, glorious pavement.
Well, it turns out that I was already on Shade Lane (Hillside had already turned away from it), and that the gravel road was actually some irrelevant thing that the map creators didn't bother to put on the map. Jittery from the experience, I found the customer's house and delivered the pizza to an old lady with a big all-bark-no-bite dog; a tip of about $1.50.
Ah. The excitement of my weekend job offsets the bore of my weekday one, I guess...
