After much prodding, I've redone my very first video, After the Rain. I fixed some editing mistakes, made some changes here and there that really improve the flow of the video, and really improved the quality of the encode. That last point is the most important one...for some reason, the master of the original version looked horrible. The new version is absolutely gorgeous. In fact, I'm REALLY surprised by how much better it looks.
And it remains the only To Heart video on the .org...

Been doing video work all afternoon. I had forgotten how quickly time flies by when your head's buried in Premiere. I think I'll call it a day as far as work goes and relax the rest of the evening. The current video is coming along well, but I'll admit that editing doesn't seem quite as fun as it used to. I'm starting to get the feeling that AMV creators are masochists by nature...I should probably find a new hobby.
But I've tried that before. Oh well.

I've been blessed with about 5 weeks of unplanned vacation, so it's a given that I'll be working on something new.
And luckily, I have a great idea for a fun Cardcaptor Sakura video...it should be a blast. It'll also be my first attempt at serious lip-syncing. The cuts will be pretty quick, though, so that should make things easier.
I've pretty much finished the storyboard already. This evening, I'm going to lock myself in a room with a stack of CCS DVDs, and start scanning through them looking for clips. I really can't wait to start editing...I don't think I've ever been this excited about a video idea before.

I've made my videos available for download once again. We'll see how much bandwidth is used in the process (hopefully, the indirect links will stem the number of downloads).
I'm going over several video ideas right now, trying to decide what to do now that I feel like getting back into the groove. To be honest, I'd like to do something simple...I'm leaning towards a quiet piece using the Ah! My Goddess movie as source, but haven't squared away all the details yet.
