Update on the His and Her Circumstances video (I have to resist the urge to say "Karekano"): I'm going to wait until the next DVD volume is released before continuing, as I just don't have enough footage yet to do what I want to do with it.
So, I don't have any current video projects - which is probably a good idea since midterms are rapidly approaching (why, oh why, did I decide it would be good to go back and get a second degree?). However, I'd still like to do something with the first CCS movie, so I might play around with that...I think I might have finally found the right music.
And I wanted to give a big thanks to Paul (Red Wolf) for all the work he's putting in on the AWA Compilation CD set. As one of the creators featured, I'm really appreciative of everything he's doing - and I'm looking forward to seeing some of the other great videos that are included. Thanks, Paul!

Busy, busy, busy

Well, I haven't worked on the video any today...I got sidetracked this morning, and then Vol. 11 of Cardcaptor Sakura showed up in the mailbox (of course, I had to pop it in the DVD player ASAP), and I have some real work to do this evening in preparation of a long day tomorrow.
But that's fine, because it gives me more time to think about scene selection.
I've noticed a surge in downloads of my videos over the past few days, Sakura no Yume in particular. The only reason I can think of is that Sakura no Yume is up to #33 on the top 10% list and is ranked #1 or within in top 10 in some of the subcategories. I guess people are coming across it by skimming the list.
I have enough bandwidth to handle traffic for the time being, but I'll be cutting it close if the downloads keep increasing over time. But hey, I'm just happy so many people have enjoyed the video. I never would have thought it would have been that popular.

His and Her Needs

I'm FINALLY making another video, although I wonder if I'll be able to finish it or not. Perhaps I just needed a break from Premiere...that's why I'm here writing this.
I'm using footage from Karekano (His and Her Circumstances), which proves to be a bit of a challenge since only the first R1 DVD has been released. Granted, there are 6 episodes to work with on the disc, but there's still very little footage to spare. Toss in the fact that I'm trying to work around all the super-deformed/overly-stylistic bits of the show, and finding clips becomes difficult. Thus far, I have about 1:20 done, with another 4:00 to go. I can already see some problems looming in a few spots.
If I do hit a brick wall, I can always shelve the project until December, when the second DVD for the series comes out. Right now, I'm planning to devote most of tomorrow to editing (have the day off)...so I'll have a better idea of how things are coming along then.

Just downloaded the new Avisynth plugin for Premiere (1.1)...and WOW, being able to resize the editing windows in Premiere greatly improves efficiency. Having working thumbnails is great, too.
And now that the color bug has been fixed, perhaps I can finally make that Maison Ikkoku video I had planned a couple of months ago.
But right now I want to give it a whirl and see how quickly the editing process goes. At the moment, DVD footage of Love Hina and the CCS movie are sitting on my HD, so I'll most likely do something with one of those.

I haven't updated in awhile. I'm not working on a video right now, but I'm batting around some ideas. I'd like to do a short video with the CCS movie - something similar to "After the Rain" - but haven't found a song yet.
Sakura no Yume has been quite popular since I made the downloads available again. I notice it's been moving its way up the "Top 10%" list. Granted, that's not all that important, but it's nice to know people think highly of it. I appreciate all the opinions.
