Golden Donut
2003-01-05 18:50:48
Oh, and when I said Ohyaocon is THIS weekend, I meant NEXT weekend. Ever since getting back from Hawaii, I've had a difficult time remembering what day it is...
I just made my Golden Donut pledge ($100) and will mail the check in the morning. If you're already paying for video hosting (which I am), making a donation is kind of a no-brainier. My web hosting bill is twice as high as it should be due to the extra bandwidth necessary to allow video downloads...if the Golden Donut succeeds, I can immediately cut that bill in half. My donation will have paid for itself in 6 months.
So support the .org and make a donation!

Ohayocon is this weekend...I entered "Haruka's Song", so I'm a bit anxious to see how the contest goes. I honestly think it'll do well.
Oh, and thanks for the opinion on the video, Rubyeye!

Contests & Vacations
2002-12-17 23:20:38
Well, I've entered Haruka's Song in both the Ohayocon and Mindwarp contests. Here's to hoping it's well received!
Anyway, I'm off to Hawaii for the next two weeks. I'll have a laptop and internet access, so I'll check in every so often to see what's going on.

Tick tock...

Lots of downloads of Haruka's Song so far...no opinions yet, but it always seems to take a little while before they start filtering in. I'm watching my bandwidth closely...I've never gone over before, but I'll be cutting it close this time. There's still 8 days left in the current billing cycle, and I still have about 10 GB to spare, so it'll probably be fine. The only problem I forsee is that I'll be leaving for Hawaii next Wednesday, but I'll have a laptop and and internet connection lest I have to kill downloads for a few days after I get there.
I think I'll enter the video in the Mindwarp contest, just for the heck of it. I really do think it's a pretty good drama video, and I honestly think it's better than Sakura no Yume, which has been pretty well received in itself.

New video (finally!): http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=13011
Yes, it's the Kurogane Communication video I began working on about a month ago. I'm really happy with how it turned out, despite the fact that I almost scrapped the whole project at one point because of trouble finishing the final 20% of the video.
Looks like good timing on the release, too, as MediaBlasters is releasing the Kurogane Communication boxset later this month.
Anyway, that's my final video for 2002. I'll get back to work on the massive Kare Kano project after New Year's.
