Shrinky dinks are cool.
I wanna edit something but I don't really have anything at the moment. I also have an urge to update the iOS amv app. Kinda of in a "fuck it all" mood and don't really want to do anything productive honestly.

I understand the frustration but i guess I just choose not to be frustrated over things I don't like at this moment in time. There's a lot left to do and I'd rather work with him towards his goals (where I can) and worry about the things i don't like when there's more to see/when the time is right.
I also prefer that he's showing us what he's doing rather than just keeping the whole thing to himself. Perhaps that was a mistake?
Anyway, enough with the journal posting! /me scurries off

Team effort? Probably not. The whole "team effort" idea never got off the ground, aka: it didn't work. An individual effort seems to be the only way it will ever get done, which in a sense, is the only way anythings been done. The redesign threads/forum was meant to gather ideas and get people thinking and doing. There was a lot of thinking but not a whole lot of doing. Even when there was a team working on it, nothing happened. We are beyond that now.
So here we have an individual doing all this on his own. He started working on this version of the site before any of the org administration knew about it. It's his project, he has every right to say what he thinks is a good idea or a bad one. He's also inclined to ask for feedback and decide for himself what feedback he considers good or bad. Even then, he wont know if his ideas or other peoples ideas will really work out until it's been implemented. There are things he considers more important then others and will push those things to the side until they are relevant. That doesn't mean you should provide feedback but fi you do, be thorough and provide reasonable explanations for why you think something wont work.
That all said, this is only one person's project, there's nothing stopping someone else from starting their own redesign project of the site or forking the code David's already done. And nothing is final. What you will see come out of David's project may or may not actually be the new site. The administration still has to make that decision and there really hasn't been any official word on any of it from them.
Anyway, I just think the idea of "oh he doesn't like such and such idea so he will just ignore everyone's feedback" is just stupid. Provide feedback and work with him to make the site he wants to make. Even if you don't like it right now. Give it a chance and make your final decision when everything is done.

He never replied to your post directly, if you were wondering, but he did consider your feedback "good" compared to others.

You are making way too many assumptions based on a site that isn't even close to being finished yet.
