My sister, her housemate, and I are set up with a room at the Rodeway Inn for Otakon. Yay.
I have a three-day registration mailed in; they'll probably go for one of the days.
I'm guessing the website will put up a schedule of events before the con comes around? I hope?
Anyway, that's good for me and bad for all of you. ;)

It's not bad. Would've been nice to see a closer match to the high points of the music, and I certainly wouldn't class anything to "Gone" as "fun" - but it's not bad overall.
I had to get it; I love that song madly. I think everybody has songs that you just have a gut reaction to - that's one of mine.
Might make a parody video for something to do, as my serious video creaks along. Might. *shrugs*
The idea for Video #8, two ahead of this, is so clear now. I have to wait for the source to come out on DVD, though. It's like waiting for Christmas. ;)

My regular weblog is all messed up due to some problems at the Blogger site; it's frustrating. I have to leave in just under an hour to meet a friend for coffee - I don't see her more than twice a year or so, so that's nice... It's weird, though, lately. I'm the most nerd-like friend she has, and she's the most un-nerd-like friend I have. And she's the only person that I know IRL (in this area - not counting the friend who used to live here) that reads my online stuff and acknowledges that fact. It's a weird crossing of spheres. It should be all right.
Sucks that my CD player has slipped into a coma just before a long bus ride, though. Along with this headache of unknown origin, it could be annoying. Ah well.
But other than that, life is routine as usual.
I do mean to go to Otakon. I do. I'm negotiating with my mom to borrow a credit card (heh, I suck and don't have one of my own ^_^;; ) or possibly with a friend, to trade hotel payment for free cosplay costuming. I think he's still offended that I suggested Gren. Bah. Hormonal imbalance aside, he's pretty good-looking. (Gren, that is.) And I think my dad still has my sister's old saxophone. *eg*
And if all of that fails I can beg for a spot with an online acquaintance of mine who has a few rooms across the street from the con (!!!!!!).
So I'm most likely going. Oddly enough this feels more isolated, as *shrugs* there's a lot of community feeling here that I'm sensing, but not a part of.
Eh, but AMVs and anime swag are still reason enough to go.

The new video probably isn't going to work. Ah well. And I'm getting feelings of having overstayed my welcome (you don't say!), so I think that's it for me, for a while.
Thanks to anyone who even just watched the Burning Star video, let alone liked it or commented. The whole enterprise was fun. Thank you. Hope we can do it again sometime.
