Parody idea I had is scrapped, or at least put on hold until I get very, very bored someday.
While riding home from services today I heard a song on the radio that spawned a wonderfully wrong vid idea. This will be either 8 or 9, depending on which I finish first - this or the slow/fast one I rambled about last time.
YAY for wrong ideas. I love them so. It's not hilariously wrong, like the Pokemon Bitches video or something like that. Just mildly wrong.
I'll have to start it tonight. Bye-bye, sleep.

...it's like I get to have a whole new phase of being the destroyer of all that is good and holy in the world. XD Woohoo!
On that note, video 8 is ever so slowly in production. I have maybe a minute of blocky stuff laid down, mostly along the choruses, just to get an idea of the major sections. It's going to be troublesome; the song is slow, and yet has a steady forward motion that I have to make sure I don't lose track of, without losing that smooth flow either.
I'm starting to really like the song, though. At first I thought it was kind of thin, that not much could be drawn from it except for the barest boring glimmer of concept ("man, this song is hella depressing.") But after a few more listens it's gotten a bit more... what's the word. "Thick" came to mind, but that's just a word I use. Not really complicated, either. There are more ideas running through it.
It reminds me of Imaginary World (video 6) in some ways, but then I could just be developing a style *cough rut cough* in my unimaginative newbieness. I like laid-back, low-key, soothing stuff. I do like rampaging rock videos, but I think for every video like Burning Star I'll probably make five videos like IW or DOWAR or Sea. Yeah, there are some odd ideas in my file, like the crossover comedy or the dance vid that makes no sense, but so far what I've enjoyed most are the kind of vids that put people to sleep.
Heyyyyyyyy, I'm living up to my SN after all. ;) And I like it.

I fail to see how the flood of idiots has stopped the good editors from doing their job.
How hard is it to ignore the idiots? Hell, I *am* one of them and I don't pay much attention to them.

if you like electropop at all, the song clashes with itself but is actually a lot of fun. It's called "Strange Love Triangle" and is New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle" mixed with Depeche Mode's "Strangelove."
Since I can't use it in a vid, I may as well pimp it out for listening. :P
