This goofy-ass idea for a parody short won't get out of my head. The good news is that it would use almost entirely stills, which would be an interesting change of pace and allow me to screw around with something with the relatively small amount of disk space I've got left.
It's a cut-down version of a full-length parody/humor vid that I've had floating through my head for a while now - I'd intended to close that one with a particular set piece, but now I think I might do the set piece on its own just for the hell of it. If I want to do the rest of it sometime, I can think of a new ending.
Wish I had some good cheesy music, though. Hm.

A for Effort! Rah-rah-rah!
2003-10-07 18:41:12
So I've noticed that I tend to get good marks in "effort." And this makes me wonder. Why is that? I actually take less time than most people to make a video - on the order of 4-8 weeks, with an average of six. And I clearly don't use much fancy stuff. But somehow I guess I give off the impression that I take longer than most people (?) or something like that.
Maybe it's because of the long notes, maybe that gives off the impression of more planning than there really is. (Well, planning. I mentally "plan" for months or years before the fact, but that doesn't count.)
Or maybe it's just because it's an easy high mark to give if you want to seem encouraging. It's more open to interpretation than, say, audio or video capture.
Hm. Oh well. I've learned that the highest and lowest 10% of reviews are not counted into a video's average score, which I'm very glad of. It all evens out in the end.

Fate and Frustration
I Always Cheered for the Villains
At the bottom, under Offline Vids (ignore that part).
The SO2 vid link is broken right now, so erm... don't report me for it. X_x I'll get that back up when these are taken down in a week or so.

C: seems to be okay; it passed a thorough ScanDisk. Still, it has me worried.
No AMVing for me for a while, no sirree. O_o S'okay, I have a massive writing project on the horizon anyway.
PLUG TIME!
http://www.nanowrimo.org
Write a novel in 30 days. Really. It's fun! Kind of like an Iron Chef, except nobody judges them and there are like 15,000 people doing it at once.
So that owns my soul right now. Between the stress of that, having to play the processional for my cousin's wedding in two days, and my D: blowing up, I've gone a bit loopy.
AAAAAGHHHHHH I can't take it.
"I hear voices ridiculous voices I'm in the slipstream let's go let's go overground take ya head out of the mud, bay-beh she's gonna dream up a world she wants to live in she's gonna dream out loud she's gonna dream out loud dream out loud *whirrrrrrrrrr*"
*breath*
For anyone who's been wanting to see "Fate & Frustration" (you masochists out there), I'll have it up on my server in oh, half an hour, forty-five minutes or so, if all goes well. I'll post a link when it's done. Two people've asked for it, so for them I'll humiliate myself, but I don't think it's worth reactivating the org link and all.
I've noticed that SOEX is out on BitTorrent nowadays, too. I've been tempted to start DLing it again to try to get all nice-quality files that aren't corrupted (grr), but I KNOW as soon as I got halfway through all the seeds would vanish and I'd've wasted all my time. Bleargh... That series is never getting licensed, either, or I'd buy it.
But FIRST I need a new farking hard drive with which to store all those files. How this will happen is anyone's guess.
Till then I'll just, erm, yeah. Do things. And plot my story.
