You know, I will never be cool - among many other reasons - because I sincerely and vehemently love "In a Big Country." I just can't help it.
I'm trying to stop harrumphing about editing having gotten boring lately (god, the grammar...) and, instead, attempting to make the editing process a little more interesting. Placing clips prematurely rather than building up the usual cautious, gigantic pile of "stuff I *might* use," for starters. Hell, I can always move them.
Anyway, that was the problem, I think, that the first third of editing or so - after the idea is set but before the product takes off - got to be really, really tedious. So we'll see.
So I guess we will be *very* easy to find at Tekkoshocon, seeing as I'm me, my sister is not me and with better fashion sense, and my sister's roommate just got his head shaved. X_x (Boys. Hmph.) I'm the one with the glasses. If your mental age is over 12, say hello. :) We should be there from oh, 5 pm till the AMVs are over on Saturday.
...assuming the AMVs are ON Saturday night again, and not midday; if not, I shall be unpleased. Pssht... well, nothing to do but see how it goes. There isn't much leeway in when I can go, as the others have stuff to do the rest of the day.
ANYWAY. I stick out in a crowd like you would not believe, so no problem there. I don't approach people, like, ever, but feel free to say hello. ^_^

What is it about this place? I've been online for several years now, but only once before have I seen a group of people so mired in petty backbiting bullshit as I've seen here. (The exception is http://www.ffwa.org, which in its heyday could out-petty-bullshit any group of humans on earth.)
This is at least the fourth time that somebody has randomly decided to carry a grudge against me, and instead of bitching me out in private like a proper grudge-carrier, decided to attempt to humiliate me on the boards passively.
First off, FOR WHAT? I don't even freaking KNOW you people. What the fuck have I ever done to you? Exist? Who died and made you arbiter of all that is? There are people around here that I can't fucking STAND, and you know what I do? I ignore them. Because you can't get along with everyone in life, and there's no point bitching about it, because you can't expect everyone to conform to what YOU want them to be. That's just stupid.
But noooooooo, apparently they feel beholden to be bitches about it without actually addressing anything TO me. What the fuck is wrong with you all? Haven't you ever heard of saying "Hey, your comment over there was obnoxious, how about shutting up?" Oh no, you have to make petty little digs elsewhere, because what - you're too fucking chicken to take it up with me? You're scared of *this*? What's wrong with you?

That's it, I have a superstition now. Was watching over some test runs of a vid that didn't make it, and noticed that, counter to my usual habit, I'd numbered it as "Vid #9" in the end credits. (End credits are always the first thing I make. I'm lame.) Normally I just list them all as "Vid #X" so as to mentally leave my options open about which ones get finished first. When a vid is finished, I change the end title to whatever number in the sequence it actually is.
But this one, no, Vid #9 it said. And it's dead now.
That's it, I'm not numbering them everever again until they're done. :P
I'm pretty much the only person to number their vids anyway. But that's my decision. :P
(yeah, the concept was weak with so-called #9. I'm being silly.) -

Ergh. I had another idea, but the CD for it is an enhanced CD. I am stupid and don't know an elegant method to rip enhanced CDs, since I'm used to doing Explore - rightclick - use ripping program. But there are no proper tracks on this CD. Rrr.
Could attempt to play and record while playing with Sound Recorder, I suppose. But I suspect I'll run into "another program is using this sound driver" errors.
I mean, it's just as well, because fewer vids from me = good thing, but it's frustrating to me all the same.
