After mulling over some depressing junk this morning, I was feeling like I might have to take a nap before taking on the rest of the day. Remembering that I had gotten some live-action vids yesterday and not watched them, I went through them. The second one, kind of pointless but fun, cheered me up. I think I'm back on track now.

A relatively painless encode? ME?! Unpossible! And yet! 38MB for a 4:15 vid is not too shabby. Looks okay, I probably could have cheapened the compression even more. Sound ... sounds like an MP3. Meh. But overall, size vs. quality, I'm satisfied.
It should be uploaded tonight, if my ISP doesn't punk out on me (the connection vanished the first time I tried, which is unheard-of - my connection never dies, ever).
Other than that, it's all good. The video is very simple, probably won't impress any of you. But I like it. And I'm following my new manifesto on that topic, so that's all that matters, dammit.

I think it's as finished as it's going to get; I have one more test export to watch, but I think I got everything I wanted.
It'll probably take about two days to get the whole thing exported and encoded, because I tend to be totally inept with the encoding thing. Also, I have to work at the church tomorrow night, so that wipes out part of my off-time. But I should have a new vid by the weekend. How about that.
So who knew, one of my old ideas slipped in front of my main project to become #10. Stranger things have happened, I guess. I still think I can hold what is now probably #11 to its schedule, finishing it by the end of May. It's pretty far along too. (*That's* the one I had a beta up for a week or two ago. It's still active; I just felt compelled to finish this one up.)
