Somebody's done it! ^_^
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=36451
I had thought of this the other day, and I was like "Oh, SOMEBODY has to do this. I mean, DUH." It is such a fun idea. I had thought Anthy was the obvious focus, since she has a convenient ex-boyfriend to narrate the thing, but I don't know what this vidder did with it. Should be fun.
Downloading now.
Hee.
Yeah, it would've been fun to work on it myself - I had a lot of ideas for it already - but if there's a good vid out to it already, I'm happy. Hell, I can always make a version for myself if I really want to.

Premiere's timeline tops out at 3 hours? Well, crap. ;P I thought it was infinite. I guess if you're editing something really large you'd get some (even) more uber software.
Not a problem; I'd just meant to be lazy and string out the entire series so I could scrub through it with my swiftyquick shinynew machine. Now it just has to be laid out on two overlapping tracks.
And now I twiddle my thumbs until tomorrow night, when I can get the audio source. And hope it ends up okay, because there's live-action ripping involved in this project and I'm scared, Mommy!
But at least it won't show in the final project, so it can look bad. Just part of the editing process.
It feels good to be editing again. Really. I bitch and whine about my projects, and they are like pulling teeth about 50%-90% of the way through the process, but it's still fun. If it weren't, I wouldn't do it. Working on something completely gratuitous that will almost certainly entertain NOBODY but me is also a nice thing. That's the luxury of being mediocre; nobody gets on my case about not topping my last project or entertaining my fanbase enough or losing my edge, because my "fanbase" could fit into an elevator, and I have no edge. ;) Occasionally someone will say "Well, I liked xyz better," but that's not that bad.
This isn't sweet lemons, dude; there are pressures to being well-known, and I've been there, even if in miniature, and I'm glad to be away from it. Though the adoration of your peers is a splendid thing, there's a charm to puttering around in your garage/garden, metaphorically speaking, that really appeals to me.
'Sides, I hate attention. Being singled out as something special is associated on some semi-conscious level with bad things - like the weak animals being culled from the herd by predators - so I'll just coast along on my nobodyness, thank you very much.
Oh, just shut up and play Harvest Moon till the caffeine wears off, you chatty old bag.

Ohhh, version collision. Installed the old AMVapp, and it seems to work now. From what little I understand of the topics I found on the forum, different parts of the system were incompatible - the version of Avisynth I had was too new, I think.
Anyway, you're no longer safe. ;)

You may be saved after all... virtually everything I do causes runtime errors now. I can't load scripts into VDub or VDubMod to do the usual thing.
Fucking Windows. Oh well. I guess it's for the best; I'm just disappointed.

I just got "back" from my computer being overhauled for the last week and a half and wtf? Wait huh?
Good luck to the former fearless leader, then.
