Cripes, so many online contests. And nothing for those of us that suck. ;P There's the Freshman one, but that assumes you suck because you're new. What about those of us that suck forever, huh? *sniffle*
I like the faster idea; the slow idea is ambitious and... ambitious. and... right. The faster one is fairly brainless and coming along quite nicely.
Sucks, though - while about to fall asleep last night I thought, "Ooh, I should put that clip right before that sequence and..." ...and didn't write it down, and now I forget what I was thinking of. Arg. Maybe it'll come back to me.

ooh! Netflix DOES have that series I wanted to do a video for but didn't like quite enough to buy the whole thing on DVD.
*steeples fingers, laughs evilly*
That's a while down the road, though.
Still have to buy the CD, and it's a limited edition which may be out of print. crap. Well, it's a start, right? Right.

Ari - Okay, thanks. ^_^; I don't agree with the "8 = average" idea, but I understand your reasoning. All the same, I'd rather my videos got the scores they deserved, rather than an inflated score due to people's fragile egos.
Everybody, on the extremely rare chance somebody decides to op one of my videos, FIVE IS AVERAGE. Really. Honest. It's right there between 1 and 10. Draw a number line, you'll see.

...
Ari?
Has somebody hacked your account? O_o;
Both of the opinions you gave my videos were edited recently, and one of them is *insane.* (I made it unpublic, don't worry.)
Hope nothing's wrong.

Blst? ;) Looks like a Final Fantasy 1 spell.

I think I'm in love with idea #3. It's a tightrope walk, but I think I'll enjoy the challenge. Another story-centric one, swiping visuals to put together a story a little different from the original. So it's the bastard child of "Clouded Heart" and "Life in Death."
I'm starting to really like that kind of thing, the canon-warping stuff. Not because I dislike the original stories, but it forces me to think about what visuals I'm using. In a slow song, it's way too easy to just shorten the original to fit into three minutes, and that gets kind of boring. Adding story assembly (so to speak) to the usual challenges of flow and timing keeps me on my toes a little bit more.
