Oh, this is practically freakin' done. If I stop trying to be ambitious about the bridge and just do something simple it would probably be about 85% finished. Just fixing the timing all the way through, and a little color tweaking.
That moment where you realize it's looking less like a work in progress and more like a messy draft of a finished work is always interesting.
If this spree keeps up it could probably be done by the end of the month. Probably. We'll see.
It's niche anyway, it's not like anyone here's going to *watch* it. I'm starting to enjoy being the sort of editor other editors don't watch. People who come in just loving the series and watching videos because it's fun tend to actually enjoy the junk I do. Possibly because that's my attitude, too. So that's my audience - myself, and people like that who are like "woohoo, profile of character nobody usually focuses on!" rather than "six layers of filtering and sixty-four lines of post-processing code, oh *baby!*"
But oh, if I never hear this song again, as long as I live...

working on vid, thus, AMV yapping.

Quite frankly, I don't see myself bothering to get any more complicated than the things I've already done. Faster, *maybe,* but no more complicated. I don't have the attention span for it. Hell, I get bored just laying clips on timelines. If I started on the sort of complexity that takes weeks for every second of video, I'd never bother finishing anything.
Are we surprised? I don't think so.
Surprisingly, my main project - which isn't really that ambitious, it's just something new-to-me - is limping into the home stretch. The bridge sucks a whole, whole lot, but it's filling in, at least.
After the last one I said I never wanted to see another shirtless bishounen as long as I live; this one has a similar effect, only aural. Ohhhh, you'll see when it's done.

At Otakon I bought the Read or Die OAV and the Hellsing box set. They both kick ass. I have no plans to vid either one, though. The former is too short and the latter doesn't fit any sort of music I've ever listened to.
I, uh... kinda want my Trigun box set back, though... the cousins who borrowed it are going on vacation... errrgh...

Thank you, everybody who made "Banner of the Stars" videos. Somebody asked me to give them an estimate on a Jinto cosplay outfit, but I've never heard of the series and it's hard for me to figure things out from only a few stills. Since info on this series is kind of hard to come by on the web and Netflix doesn't have it, I'm turning to AMVs to get an idea of what the series looks like.
So.
Thank you, BotS vid makers.
I kind of swiped the idea from somebody who said they used my SOEX vid as a reference for Ashton cosplay, so credit where credit's due.
(I do wonder if I messed them up, though. There are a crapton of horizontal flips in that video, and I wouldn't be surprised if Gyoro & Ururun ended up on the wrong sides. X_x Let's hope it was all right.)

AHHHHHHHHHH WTF?! Star Ocean EX was licensed too. !!!!!!!!
That series is pretty crappy, to be perfectly frank, but I still like it. But I never in a million years thought it'd get over here; the game was a cult hit only, if that, and the series got axed halfway through the story.
Hee!
The Gravi OVA was also licensed. Hisssssssssss. Please, for the love of all that's good and holy, if you are curious about this series or want to throw in a couple clips from it without getting into the whole thing, DO NOT WATCH ONLY THE OVA. I hate it dearly and it is NOT the same thing as the series. It has better animation, yes, but the lead character is a whiny, obsessive moron, rather than a charmingly perky moron as in the series. I saw the OVA before the series, and it nearly ruined my taste for the whole thing. Luckily I went back to watch the series and liked that, but I retain a lasting hatred for the OVA.
Don't watch only the OVA because it's shorter/cheaper and then assume that's what Gravitation is like. Seriously.
Thank you.

Ooh! "Piano" got licensed. How about that. I had been messing with something using the fansubs, because it's such a sweet show that I thought it was a shame that there were so few videos of it. (grammar... oh well.)
But if it comes out on DVD, someone will no doubt make something out of it, better than I could do. Good. I don't feel the need to fill a void. :P
*saves last export, scraps work files*
It's an adorable little show; I look forward to seeing what people will do with it.
