JOURNAL: SarahtheBoring (Sarah B')

  • Blah! 2007-05-24 22:41:00 blah

I didn't know there was a new version of the guide/AMVapp with literally *necessary* software that you shouldn't install in the middle of a project

now I can't export our video in any usable form

    blah

I'll use DivX then, I guess. Hello, 1993. I'm bummed out. But... I guess we'll make the most of it. Er somethin'.

Technically it's not DONE done. I can't make a unilateral decision; it wouldn't be fair. I'm just looking it over 'cause it lives at my house. (The next one will live at his house, and have less of my fingerprints on it. So it shouldn't suck. ^_~) Anywho, in the process of looking it over, I'm trying out exports / compressions. Just, you know, for the future. >_>

(I think it's done. At least, the only things remaining to be fixed are things that are far out of our league at the moment. Though I'm not the one with a good sense of timing, so I won't have the final once-over.)

It's still exciting to have something almost done. I'd kinda like to finish it for my birthday next Thursday, because uh, it makes a handy deadline? :P

The next collaborative project will be more ambitious, but I still need to get some of my DVDs back from loan in order to start it. Which is OK; I don't put time limits on things that I lend out. If you watch it and don't destroy it, I don't care about anything else. Still, uh, video project imminent. Though it's a multi-source video, and the rest can be done without that series, a good chunk of my plans involve it.

    So.

    And things.

    That's it for now.
  • 2007-04-19 23:46:58 Ohhh. Apparently they have TWO "Best of Show" style awards at Tekko. That, alone, makes me laugh quite a bit. One's voted by the audience and one's voted by judges. So that clears that up. Sorta.

(more than... one... best... brain... breaking)

Working on some lipflap dealies for Collaboration Vid. The timeline is 95% full, but it needs some tweaking. It's still pretty fun to work on.

After that, something completely different and quite a lot of fun, albeit difficult. We shall see. Plus ongoing, slow work on Multi-Source Video, which... I think I may do for a few minutes here before turning in. BAD IDEA AHOY.

  • Tekko: The Revenge of Stuff 2007-04-18 22:36:43 To elaborate, our AA table was lots o' fun, there wasn't a lot of con drama (I don't think... some of my friends aren't talking to me, but I am not sure what I did wrong - is that drama?), the AMV show was great even though my eardrums got blasted into oblivion sitting in the front (note to self: do not sit in the front... ever), and stuff and things and stuff.

TP&TK got two judges' awards, and I am still not entirely sure what either of them are. XD I'm not sure what "Execution of Video" means, and nobody's ever said the other one; I didn't catch the list during closing ceremonies, and on the official announcement it was typo'd as "Best in Show" (the splendiferous Ghibli trailer by Vlad Pohnert was actually Best in Show). I don't wanna bug the contest coordinator, because it sounds like it's been a hectic week. We'll find out eventually.

It's a small con that I don't think anyone goes to, but I've been to it every year since its inception and really enjoy it. ^_^

  • Tekko 2007-04-15 22:20:15 Uhhhh yeah, I think we did okay.

    O_o

  • Great googly moogly. 2007-04-08 22:17:35 TP&TK did make finals in Comedy at Tekkoshocon. O_o I'll have to see if anyone I know can accompany me to the showing, because I don't want to spazz out in glee by myself.

We have all of the photos taken of our new goods, apart from a few that still need to be finished *cough or started cough*. Gonna be a busy week. :)
