JOURNAL: SarahtheBoring (Sarah B')

  • 2006-04-18 18:51:51 whee. None of you did, but we made mad bank without you, bitches, so there. ;)

I just bought a new copy of Ben Folds' "Rockin' the Suburbs," because it was cheap and my old copy was scratched. It's too bad that I already made a Mikage video, because "Fred Jones, Part 2" would have been lovely for the task. I don't regret mine - it's that threadbare teddy bear that everyone else thinks is hideous, but you love anyway - but still.

It is *extremely* slow, however, slower than "World Leader Pretend," so one would have to have a deft hand with the artsiness - and probably hack out the "train" verse, too - to stretch the available footage.

    Hm.

Along with that CD, I bought a DVD for the *sole purpose of making an AMV out of it.* I'd seen it already, but I wouldn't have bothered buying my own copy if it weren't for a video I wanted to make. You know a hobby has eaten your head when... :/

  • The one, the only - you get what you give 2006-03-29 00:01:40 So, since I'll be working on stuff for the next day or so to get ready for Tekkoshocon:

    LOOK FOR US, BITCHES. :D

    And buy stuff. :D

    - No AMVs in the competition because I suck. Also because I didn't make any AMVs last year. Whoops?

    - My sister and I have an Artist's Alley table - our name is Able Sisters. We will have fuzzy things. And pins. And so on, and so forth. I am the dark-haired one with glasses. The other girl is my sister. (duh.)

    - I had one commission for this con, an Undead Acolyte from WarCraft III. Which is to say a large scary robe with skulls and such. Entirely not Japanese gaming FTW. ;P

That's it. If all goes well, I will cosplay Random Read or Die Agent on Saturday and a repeat of Sohma Kagura on Sunday, since that's the shortest day and Kagura's shoes are uncomfortable.

I don't know any Pittsburgh-area AMV fans - I just force my non-AMV-fan regular otaku friends into watching them, and that's no fun - so introduce yourselves. :P

That is all. Good luck and have fun, everyone.

  • 2006-03-18 23:00:43 *I* say it's done. w00t.

I'll get the local copy up when I'm sure that people can play it. I always have problems with encoding/filetype and regret uploading too soon. X_x

I can't believe that there are only two Magical Play AMVs on the org. It's so cute. Though I guess it's short, and all. It would make for decent multi-anime fodder, probably.

    Anyway!

New video. Not up yet. Soon. Thanks.
  • Oops? 2006-03-17 21:59:42 Turns out I made a mini-video this past week. Accidentally? Sort of?

I just started messing around, and it was fun, and next thing ya know - full timeline. Heh. It'll take some more work - I want to try some masking that will take a little while - but hey, I didn't expect to finish ANYTHING before the end of the summer.

It's another short one - I keep making short videos. I have no attention span. Well, I'm learning things even from these short pieces. As I justify it to myself, anyway. ;)
  • 2006-03-02 19:43:59 I take it back: one and a half trip-hop ideas and one classic rock. Which is a terrible cliche, but I can't help it. :D

Naturally there are eleventy thousand other ideas ahead of this, so it's all immaterial even to me, but anyway.

I have a project all ready to start, but haven't been in much of an AMV mood lately - not concretely, anyway. Too much cosplay and such to work on. I'd slacked off on a commission for Tekkoshocon, which is now four weeks away, so I really have to haul ass. It'll be good; I just don't have time to spend on other hobbies. Haven't even played games lately, other than FFTA on commutes. Wow.

...where did I start. Yes. Trip-hop idea 2 meh-ing itself out, idea 1 still sounds okay, and now a terribly cheesy one. Heh.
