Birthday and School!

Hi, everyone! Hope things are well! I just had my birthday a couple of days ago. I can't believe I'm 23! My parents got me a how to draw manga type book. It's really cool! The only thing I haven't liked is it starts you off drawing an entire body, instead of the basics like drawing the head. It just means I'll be jumping all over the book instead of reading and drawing right through. Oh, well.
I also had a birthday dinner that was very disappointing. 2 people came, and they brought their homework! It was weird. They didn't even want to pay for the dinner. Well, let's just say after that I lost 2 friends. But, they were acting really mean to me! So it's their loss.
Yesterday I had a much nicer dinner with my Hillel club (Jewish group on campus). We went to Taco del Mar, it was pretty tasty. Plus, people actually listened to me. So, maybe I gained 3 more friends. Not bad at all. Oh, also speaking of that club, we're going to have a movie night on Sunday. So, that should be fun. I love the 2 clubs I'm apart of this year: Hillel and Anthropology.
Also, on top of all that I had a test in my animal nutrition class on Thursday. The only thing I hadn't gone over was the stuff about birds. And I was a little thrown when some of the questions delt with that. Well, next week in that class we'll be talking about bony fish, so that should be cool.
I also had a paper due in my Archaeology class today, but my group never gave me the data for it. The only job I had in the project was digging. I was told over and over they'd email it to me right away. The paper is like 80% data, so I couldn't do it. Plus, only half of the class actually were there today.
Well, it's almost time for me to register for next semester, so I tried talking to my advisor today, but he was too busy. The undergrads have to get approval from their advisor so that they can register. It's a stupid system!
I'm thinking of taking Anth 260- which is intro to Physical Anthropology. Basically, you get to have fun with bones in that class. Stat 212- General Statistic class- everyone has to take it. Anth 203- peoples of the World. All of them are 4 credits, so it's going to be a heavier semester than this one. But, they seem interesting, so we'll see.
We have a 3 day weekend, so I'm pretty happy right now. I'll try to have some fun. Well, that's it, bye! -

Hi everyone! Hope everybody's ok. I just had a companion animal nutrition test last Thursday. It was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. Hopefully, I got a good grade for it. I also have a test in my intro to Archaeology class on Monday. I'm not sure if I'm ready for it. At least the excavation in that class has been fun. Apparently the second level down has lots of bones, kind of weird, but cool.
I'm also trying to figure out what I might be for Halloween. I love Halloween! I was thinking maybe like a ninja from Naruto, but I can't really figure out what to get for it. Another one I can be is Yuuko from xxxHolic. She's really cool looking, even to people who hate anime. For that I probably just need lots of beads, a good dress, and maybe straighten my hair, and find some sort of butterfly jewelry. Also, I could be a character from FMA. I've got the 'Alchemy' gloves, a red long jacket, some black pants and shirt, and black shoes. I really can't decide which one!

School Stuff and things

Hi everyone! Sorry, for not updating for so long. Been kind of busy with school and friends. I can't believe how well I'm doing in my Animal Nutrition class. My last test I got back last Thursday I got a 51 out 50! Now, my grade for the class is an A! I'm so happy about being able to do well even though I missed an entire semester.
In my human nutrition class, it's not as good, but I'm getting a C. I'm trying really hard to do better on the next test though. Maybe I'll end up with a B. That would be great!
In my intro to Archaology class, it's been incredibly interesting, but I'm getting a C in that class too. Hopefully my report on the first excavation we did will get an A. I thought it was kind of cool that we actually get to excavate a site. And eventually I might get a B in that class too. Really not too bad after being sick for 2 years and skipping a semester!
I love living in my new dorm too. I don't have a roommate, I get a refrigerator with the room, a futon bed, not very many people on the floor, and a huge study area on the 12th floor. In fact, all the girls on my side of the floor help each other like we're family. A lot of them have become pretty good friends with me. I've also stopped actually eating at the caffeterias, and am trying to eat better. I've been getting groceries for myself, and getting fresh fruit, vegetables, and other "healthy" things. I also have been trying to work out at the Rec Center. I think I've actually lost weight because of all this. I also found out my cousin from my mom's side named Mimi is on Facebook now, it just really surprised me. Another cousin on my dad's side named Jen is also on it. We used to not communicate as much, so it's been kind of cool to talk to them. Well, bye. Hope everything's great with everyone.

Getting Ready for WSU

Hi Everyone! Sorry, that I haven't posted in a loooong time! Well, first off my mom went through a lot recently. She had surgery done to get rid of a 16 pound tumor! I couldn't believe how huge it was. She was in the hospital for about 2 and half weeks. She's doing pretty now that she's home. She still can't make dinner or even bend down too far. But, that's ok. At least she's moving around.
Oh, I don't know if I posted anything about me being in the hospital too. I had a "multitude" of blood clots in my lungs. It was so bad they hospitalized me for about 6 days. I'm still on treatment for it. I have to have my blood tested like every month because of it. Treatment will end around the end of September or October, so I have a ways still. After that they're going to test for if it was a genetic problem. If it is I'll have to always be in treatment.
Well, on top of all that I'm planning to go back to WSU in exactly 12 days. (Not that I'm counting or anything. ) I just can't wait to see my friends, new friends, and even to study. I have my classes now and housing assignment. The only problem has been Financial Aid. But, hopefully that will go over easy too when I get there. My classes this time are: Intro to Archaeology, Human Nutrition, Animal Companion Nutrition, and Chinese Civilization. They sound like they'd be fun! I also got the dorm that's for older students. It sounds really nice. I'll be in a single/double. Which is like in a room built for 2 but I'll be the only one living there. I also get to have a tiny fridge and microwave. And, even the bed is bigger than the dorm I was in last year. Also, I'm going to try and be more apart of the Anth club and Hillel. Hillel has gotten so big since I went home. (In case you don't know what Hillel is, it's the Jewish Student Organization.) Well, hope everything's going well with everybody.
I also watched all of the original Naruto, and thought it was cool! I'm watching Shippuuden right now, and that's been interesting. Elfen Lied was quite different for me but really interesting. Rozen Maiden kind of has been freaking me out. I don't normally like to see something with dolls. Dolls kind of freak me out anyway, and they're alive in this. *shudders* Hana Yori Dango was surprisingly good too. I don't normally like that kind of animation, but it had a cool story. I liked the Ouran High School Host Club too. There were so many Bishies! It also had a good storyline. I also tried to watch Princess Tutu. But some reason I can't find like half the series. I really like it. It's not as 'girly' as I thought it would be. Well, bye!

I'm not really sure what to use this journal for, but I thought I might as well say what I like and what videos I like on here. Plus, I'm not a video maker, but I love to watch them. I just got into anime this past year, and it's been really interesting so far! I'm a person that used to hate it, and then some friends showed me some good shows and I ended up loving it. I guess that happens in college, though, you get to try new things. ;)
