  • What ?, that was not a VW Beetle show 2002-05-27 08:13:18 Man, I went to a Volkswagen Beetle show at the weekend with my dad, uncle, my dad's friend and my brother. It was ok but, a bit on the crap side as it was absolutely chucking it down for most of the afternoon. However there were some class, old school, beetles.
    Also watched the movie American History X that night and thought what a good film, Edward Norton was really good in it. Sunday, I just spent asleep in bed as I was totally nackered from doing uni work for hours on end but, still not finished, anyway I beter get my work done so, later.

    I have finally got all 6 issues to the ORIGION mini-series. This was one of the most anticipated comic mini-series very; for the fact it tells of Wolverine's (from X-Men) true past. Where he was from and how he became the man (character), he is today. 
  • Weird but, class in the end. 2002-05-22 08:17:09 HUH ?

    So far this as been a slightly weird week. Right, firstly I'll start at the beginning. We, as in me and my friends, found out last week that we had Monday and Tuesday off, this week. Friday, we tried to plan something to do on these 2 days but, no solid plans were made.
    We decided to organise it over the weekend and contact all concerned on Sunday night to tell them what was happening. Organised we were to meet up at university after our own things and meetings were done however, this went to pot.

    Monday: Two stayed asleep till about 2pm, not even woken by their phones ring, when they woke up, they went to their indiviual meetings but, already there were two of us wide awake by 1pm and with meetings over and done by 5pm.
    We headed to my friend's flat, with a brief stop at the supermarket for food,we meet 1 of his flat mates there, and he told us that our other 2 friends were already at the flat. We went to the flat hoping to catch them 2 but, were meet by an empty flat so we had somthing to eat and had an hour long coversation about the varying religious ideas, the world over.

    Tuesday was as starange. The original plan was that my friends and their girlfriends would head out to a little village outside the city.
    Which didn't happen, so while walking away from Forbidden Planet, I sent a message to one of 3 uni friends to find out whats happening, I get a message back telling me to get to the flat as they are about to leave. Wondering whats going on I phone, having spoke to one of them, I head to the flat. We, 2 friends, 1 friend and his girlfriend and me, go to a hill and do some walking and sight spotting from it. Then off to a dead beach, not a single person there, probabbly on account it being Tuesday afternoon. Finally we ended up in a pub for a drink,then getting back to the flat headed our seperate ways.
    Mine was slightly longer than usually as the bus driver's round finished about twenty minutes drive from where I stay, so i set off walking, I got home in about 50 minutes, in time for dinner. At about half eleven I decided to sit and watch Ghost in the Shell again but, what can I say no matter how many times I have seen it, I always appreciate the brilliance behind it but, never understood it as much as I did, watching it last night.

    Anyways laters all. 
  • 1 down 3 to go 2002-05-15 08:12:51 Well, thats the first of four assignments finished and away. Now there is only 3 left and I have next monday, tuesday off to chill with my friends. Finally a bit of breathing space for the 3 of us.
    Man this cobol stuff really bites you in the ass; it is so annoying with its 20 million digit long paragraph headings. But, its out of the way so, we can relax and smoke a cig and chill with a movie or some Seatbelts and Jimi Hendrix. Among good friend, nothing better or is there ?

    This the last month of my first year at uni, and I've got 4 assignments due for the end of the month. Nothing but, uni work; I'm gone be busy as. So the site will be on hold for a month as well as a cut back on chilling with friends, damn! However this work has to be done so; later I've got work to do.
