Caught the Christmas Bug lately...oh well its called the flu bug.
Down with a sore throat and a miserable runny nose .....i hope it doesn't last till christmas (there goes my IPPT) -
Marche Sux!

Had the annual CBLC pre-christmas dinner at Marche (again) but this time its sponsered ; which means its free.
Marche is really expensive and its one of the most expensive foodcourts i know. Yes, its a food court coz you have to queue for the food and everything is self-service. The food sux compared to Breeks and everything there is sold there is a rip-off!!
Anyway, the annual CBLC photo taking session is next and the poor christmas tree at Takashimaya must be suffering from cornea-disorder after all the flashes it had to endure. Anyway i was feeling cheeky and i suggested takiung photo of CJ and XL grabbing the presents ard the tree with the huge sign DO NOT TOUCH" in full view. Next i sat at the santa's lap outside and guess what , a security guy in plains clothes (i'm not even sure if he's from security) was screaming at me to get off "SANTA-GIANT-WITH-HOT-AIR"
Well--i did that coz coz i was dead bored.

Went on a wasted trip with Robin to Changi Naval Base to get my free shoes. Looks like i'm not in their database yet. However, at least we can now say we've been on a free tour to CNB (haha) before. Those ships were huge !!!! Looks like i have to do without any PT shoes for the time being (groans).
One thing to note: security has been tigher than ever..they even got those metal-detecing devices ..woah!
Finally finished downloading and watching Berserk. I must say this anime has left a huge emotional impact on me. In this anime...good guys dun always win and evil/good is not always as clear cut. While most action anime always have a feel-good element to it, Berserk shows the darkest and depressing side of human as well. Its about frendship , trust, rivallry and finally betrayal and hatred. Anyway, despite the infamous ending or rather non-ending ..i like it very much ...seldom do you see an anime so humanly realistic..nuff said.
Boring boring boring but....somehow i can't inspire myself to start doing those cold-calls. My IPPT is scheduled for 29th Dec and i haven trained for 3 years. My IA starts in less than 2 weeks time and i still haven gone on to learn anything about Java (which i'm supposed to). I'm supposed to be strssed out but all i wanted to do is sleep.

Just watched "The others" by Nicole Kidman. I'm at a loss of words to describe this movie. It is perfect!!! It's an exmaple of great screenplay and visuals/sounds turning an old plot into the perfect movie!
Chi Thio had told me how good this movie is and now i know.
A short extract (no spoilers) from a reviewer from the net descibes my feelings fully!!

And once again, I find myself saying that this is the kind of movie that needs to be seen twice to be fully valued, but believe me when I say that even the first time around is damn well worth it! In fact, the visuals in this film alone should be reason enough for you to fork over the big bucks. The director seems to have channeled a little Tim Burton here, with dangling trees, fog as thick as the eye can see and a stylish manor, with eeriness at every turn. But as per most successful movies, it is the story behind this film that is its greatest asset. It moves at a slow and methodical pace but it does so with a purpose. There are no special effects here, no pop-up scares, no men with knives chasing girls with huge cans. This film is all about the build-up and therein lies its greatest strength. The shadows, the gaslit lamps all over the house, the sounds from the attic, the silence all around, the darkness of one room versus the light in another...the spookiness everywhere!

It is something like the Japanese horror flick "THE RING" onli more riveting and involving. It just kept me at the edge of my seat all the while. And there's the TWIST. I shant say anything about it or it'll spoil ur surprise. If you intend to watch this move..dun , i repeat dun read anything about it from anywhere..dun let ur frens tell you anything!!
