Well, Heres a little of Irelands Lingustic History!

Here goes!
The English took over about 800 years ago and started to push the Irish into the west of the country. Over time they tried to get rid of our language. they nearly succeeded too. English is the first language of ireland today. Only about 10% of oour population can speak fluently. Its nearly extinct. its very unfortunate. :( - Im just thinkin now.. 2005-06-12 22:11:58 I have to say ive experienced alot of different things in my life thus far. Both good and bad. But I wouldn be who i am without them.
