- Ignorant AMV-Makers 2005-07-12 17:01:27 I love how the "New Video on the Block" is a Limp Bizkit/DBZ video. PEOPLE, TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT! There are so damn many animes out there and the best get so little attention. For example, what about Geneshaft, Infinite Ryvius, Gundam F91, Texhnolyze, oh I don't know - go find some! Sheesh.

So, I'm on a cruise and thus have minimal anime access. Everything is amazing (except for the fact that I don't really know anyone very well) and I'm enjoying my time away. I hope to get back home and then (finally after five years) get to visit an old friend...perhaps a lot more than friend but for here I'll just say friend...in New Jersey. Well, I gotta do everything online for the day right now in case I don't have a chance to get back on for a while. We dock at San Juan in a few hours. That's all for now...

Check out the AMV "The Bounty Hunters Who Don't Do Anything" - I didn't make it but I am hooked on the song and recommend it to any top-notch AMV fan. - Wisdom Teeth 2005-06-17 11:59:19 Well, I had my wistom teeth out yesterday morning so I'm just sitting around wasting time as my mouth heals. I wish I could be editing but this laptop is three years old and just can't get the job done like I want it to. I hope to get a new desktop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and then put together the dozen or so AMV ideas I have built up. For now, however, I'm not doing much except eating glop and fighting a war with a swollen face. Hurrah.

First Gundam AMV Finished!

I recently finished my first Gundam AMV! I think I actually made "Shining Star" by Nami Tamaki work with Endless Waltz! Woot! I will have it locally available within the next two weeks. Oddly, when I play the video file on my own computer it plays perfectly fine in full screen but the video doesn't move fluidly when I play it in a smaller size. Maybe that's because the footage quality is higher on this video than any of my previous pieces. I'm really looking forward to making more Gundam videos; I do like many different animes, but Gundam holds a special place. I am especially excited to work with Turn A Gundam and Victory Gundam over the summer.
Beyond video editing, I've hit some anime viewing milestones, if that word works, recently. I finished Infinite Ryvius a few days ago; that show has a huge cast (400+) but it pulls it off really well and I definately recommend it. Actually, a DVD rerelease of the whole set is coming out soon and is on Amazon at an awesome price if anyone's interested. I finished Last Exile two days ago; that too is an awesome show. I definately want to make a tribute video to Dio, my favorite character. I also watched Char's Counterattack two days ago. I've yet to see 0079 or Zeta but I watched Char's Counterattack anyway. I know enough about the UC to still be able to enjoy it.
