Well here we go another rant.
Just as an FYI, i've been posting some of my amvs on youtube, so my amvs can be more availble to the public. Anyways after I finished my Ichigo 100 percent project doing all 4 character profiles of the girls, i decided to see if there were any other good Ichigo 100% amvs, and there were two things i found out
1.) There are only a VERY select few that are either decent or actually good
2.) There is ONLY one amv i ran into that Also didn't have subtitles, that someone actually took the time to crop out subtitles, every other amv i've seen HAS subtitles *vein popping*
So ya, seems i kinda stand out having a subtitle-less Ichigo 100 amv. Anyways i've been getting alot of hits, but here is the core of my ranting. You know in youtube when you watch a video, there is a side panel of links to other similar vids. Well i checked out some links from my amvs, and guess what?
I RAN INTO VIDS THAT HAD MY SUBTITLE-LESS AMV FOOTAGE
thats right!! I saw my footage being taken and applied to other ppls work. Isn't that hmmm.....you know......STEALING! Now i would have forgiven these two vids (yes only two so far) authors if they gave me credit. But Nope, no credit to good ol Shadowfox for making an actually amv w/o subtitles. I took about a whole day to create those clips w/o subtitles, and they are taking the easy way out to use my footage! Please ppl, even if you take other ppl's footage, give them the credit they deserve, cuz you never know how much work they did to give you a good vid. And if you really want to crop out subtitles, just try LEARNING! (my advice, use VirtualDub)

FF7AC amvs are just asking to not be watched!

Well time for a rant, but first i want to say I'm so happy that so far the ratings have been improving so that just makes me happy! Thanks to everyone who likes the amvs!
But i've noticed recently is that my FF7AC amv called "The way Cloud Feels" has basically halted in "Hits" and has stayed at 75 for the past 5 days! WTH man, man i should have known this would happen if I made an amv with AC. But a friend of mine tells me its because its an FF7AC and too many ppl have seen those amvs, but please if anyone is reading this, please at least give mine a shot, i've watched a bunch of those amvs before and i will say this 60 to 70 percent of them SUCK! I really hate to say this but seems that alot of ppl who are newbs to amv making like using that footage and it shows that its one of their first amvs. No offense to you guys, because you're starting out as an amv maker and u just need more experience, so please dont flame me. My problem is that b/c of so many ppl practicing on their first amvs with AC, when you see an amv of that type you automatically think oh no, it probably sucks or damn i've seen way too many of those. I love the movie and everything and i still give them a shot when i see a good song with FF7AC footage, but please all i ask ppl is to at least give mine a shot, and in case you havn't noticed, im not a noob in amv making. Again no offense to the ppl new to making amvs. -

well its kinda late, my bday was back on the 10th but anyways cant' wait till tomorrow, bday party, woohoo!! I'll be drinking Jack Daniels all night long, woot!
Anyways i feel very UP recently due to a number of things. First my bday trip to las vegas was awesome, i turned out even by the end of the trip, but oh man was that Blue man group show good! Also funny thing is that while on youtube, i stumbled into one of my AMV's that i made that someone posted. There was a fan out there that loved my amv soooo much, they decided to upload it themselves to share it! (this was my Shuffle #5 amv) and i saw a bunch of good comments. It feels really good and satasfying when you make something that you put alot of effort in, and alot of ppl really do appreciate it! its very satisfying, hehe. But oh not only that one, i saw like 3 more of my amvs up there that other ppl uploaded as well. and i was like DANGG they like it!! That just basically made my day!
And before my star scores were going a LIL more on the down side if no real change, but now recently the scores are coming back up so now im happy!! Only thing that bothered me was my star score with my latest amv, my Fruits Basket "Angel and Devil Alike" amv. I just made that a simple and fun amv that coincided with the lyrics but seems ppl mostly thought i should get 3's since it was down to almost a 3.3 at one pt (thats like disasterous for me, im used to seeing my amvs in the 3.7 - 3.9 range, but theres a few past that 4.0 mark), but now its coming back up a lil, though im still perplexed what i did wrong in that amv? hmmm, i wonder, well if somebody could review it, that would be just great, hehe! Well for anyone who wants to take up that task, be my guest. Anyways for whoever is reading this, thanx for reading, i dont usually blog here, hehe.
Pete - To Post or Not To Post, that is the question....... 2005-09-04 03:08:05 GAHHHH I HATE DILEMMAS!! but thats what makes life interesting!! Anyway i got off work, damn im tired.......But yea watched some anime, some GSD, then i went back to my finished work on Rurouni kenshin, my amv for that one. Well good news is that i finally finished it, I think i picked the right footage for the music, so thats nice to have off my back. However for the bad news, its still been on my back for the past 2 days, My dvd quality is pretty quirky with high flashing colors, especially white, then it gets all interlaced!!! Interlaced = bad!!! Seems the rest of the amv, except those flashy sequences *which happens in the middle briefly and alot in the end* is keeping me from creating a title and credits for it and putting it on here!!! I really really want to put it up, but im waiting for people to respond back to my forum post *in case you're reading this, its under video software help in the forum, with the topic saying "DVD footage messing w/ my mind" if you want to contribute you're thoughts* I made up my mind if by monday I can't really fix that problem, tough! im too impatient and i'll make my best copy out of that......DVD ripping can really really be frustrating when it doesnt go as the guide says!!!!!
- Working on another AMV......on a Tuesday.....WTH??? 2005-08-23 16:02:28 Well its a tuesday, got some time today. Last night i finally decided to work on my belated project on Rurouni Kenshin, on a song i've been wanting to do since last year, but kept on postponing it because im such a lazy ass to rip dvds, lol. Anyway i finally decided to start ripping, and so far, im still ripping potential clips to use, so hopefully soon i'll get done getting my clips, then its off to WMM2 for editing and pasing this baby up!! But first!!!!!.......time to clean the room and study some CPE102 for next quarter!
