Man, finally finished that one..
2008-01-29 16:38:58
So I finally finished my latest amv "Saito needs a little of Louise's Time" (a Zero no Tsukaima amv), which is to this day my shortest amv thus far, clocking in at 2:17 time. However I must say, it did not feel like a worked on a short amv at all, in fact im going to be honest and say it felt like a 4 minute amv. Maybe this was because I crammed that damn thing with so much footage, lol!
Anyways the feedback, has been, well, overall good, but for some reason, seems like a few 2's are staining my star score, and idk what called upon those 2's at all, but then again its a little too early to observe the score as a whole. Heres hoping to get some written ops
Anyways I can finally get back to school, but the sad part is that I have a big list written out for my next potential amv project......I'm thinking about either
1.) Do that AIR amv I've been dying to do
2.) Start on my two Ultra Maniac amvs project
3.) Do that big Kanon Project I've set myself to do (Project involves doing 5 amvs, each concentrating on one of the 5 main girls. Seemed like my Ichigo's 100% girls project was a hit, so heres hoping this will have the same success)
Oh the choices, OH THE DRAMA *insert dramatic Prairie Dog turnaround*

Confused and just a little Angry??
2007-09-22 14:19:57
Well lets see, recently I released an amv called "K.I.B. - Knights in Black" which was Code Geass meets Men in Black. I rarely have time these days to make amvs because of college, but when I set myself to do it, I put my all into it. So I placed ALOT of effort into this amv (about a week and a half).
So what am I confused and angry about? Well the response of this video. Im happy that I got ppl who actually wrote opinions for this, and they've been super positive. However, I can't really say the same for my star score. Currently its a 3.68, which I consider it much Lower than it should be. It started out high with 4's and 5's, then suddenly dropped to mid 3's, as I'm guess a bunch of ppl from there just started giving this 3's. Personally,
I believe this was a 4 (its not a 5 due to lipsyncing, and slight break in music), but all of the ppl I've shown this personally said that either its a 4 or a 5. When I told them ppl were giving me 3's, some responses were "Have those ppl not watched alot of amvs?" or "WTH? There so many other amvs with lower production quality that are 3 quality, and this was not one"
So it just really really bugs me how I'm getting very close to a majority of 3's. I had in my mind that a few ppl would give me 3's, but I was thinking my star average would be a 3.80 the least. I have other amvs that have lower porduction quality (and even one with SUBS!!!) that are 3.90 and above. See why I'm so confused??? So if you're reading this and just are curious to watch it, if you truely feel I deserve a 3, please leave either an opinion or quick comment, because of its something I did wrong, i really would like to hear.
Also Ive heard so far that the main complaints I've had are only TECHNICAL ones. One was my approach of doing lipsyning with pictures (where the tone changes). I'm aware of that. Next is the slight break in music. Someone told me how to avoid that next time, but its really really slight. I believe those two alone brings it down to a 4, not a 3. But one thing that really bothers me is that ppl are mad about the watermark logo I have on the bottom right. See, ppl dont understand the reason thats there is to prevent noobs or lazy ppl from using my amv as Code Geass footage. Its happened to me 3 times already where my footage was clearly taken to be used in amvs, and I wasn't credited for it. Its pretty frustrating when ppl do that to you and your hard work. If ppl say that all of these 3 are why I get a 3, I can't help but get a bit angry, because these are small tech. problems, I still mached the tempo and beat to the music, I still synced the lyrics to the footage, and I tried to add some great effects to it.
So its just that, why am I getting ALOT of 3's (and some 2's)?

Been a while
2007-09-04 23:33:29
So ya, im finally working on my newest amv, its been a year since i work on my last amv, which was my I's amv with "Say something". I've been busy with school to do any work on amvs.
My current work is a Code Geass amv, using the song "Men in Black". I dont think anyone has done this yet, and im surprised as this totally goes with the black knights, and think of using Lelouch's geass as the Neuralizer that makes ppl forget. Closest anime i can think of with this song.
But heres the catch, this is the first time doing a rap amv. Now heres the thing, when you do rock amvs, they have a fair amount of words, but not too wordy on the verse. Verses on a rap song are LONG! And i have thing with syncing lyrics and footage, im an extremist with it, and if i see an amv that violates this law, i will bitch!!
But heres the thing, this rap song has alot of different lyrics, and with alot of lyrics means alot of syncing, and alot of syncing means more time to look for the perfect or best matching scene to put it with. Basically rapping song amvs are taking me longer to make compared to others. That and the fact that I havn't worked on an amv for a WHILE.
So if anyones interested, I'm about 20 percent complete, its looking good so far, but hopefully this should be done by the end of this week. Check back by then!

Damn you College! You are in the way of more AMV development!
2007-03-03 18:08:48
Well being a college student is rough, and whenever I take my 10 min walk to campus for classes, I always have my mp3 player playing, and with these last 3 months, ive run into almost 10 ideas for amvs that i've been dying to create. Its been so long since I did one, but alas when spring break comes, I will get at least 2 done. Also since my most successful project has been the Ichigo Girls project, i thought i might as well do another project on girls profile, this time, KANON! I love the show. Here are some ideas
Makoto - Sweet Misery (Michele Branch)
Nayuki - Walk Away (Paula DeAnda)
Mai - We're a Miracle (Christina Aguilera)
Agu - Save Me (RBD)
Shiori - 17 (mandy moore) (Yes I know she's 16, yet i cant find a song about being 16)
I really want to start on this asap, but college classes are preventing me. I also really want to finish up my Intertwined Misery project on Gundam Seed Destiny, and I think I have a song for it. Maybe I will get that done first. Also I really want to work on my idea for a FLAG amv (school rumble)
Some other random ideas I have
Kamisama Kazou - Why I Love you (B2K)
Negima!? - Uh Huh (B2K)
Fruits Basket - The Way You Do (98 degrees)
IGPX - Rock Star (N.E.R.D.)
Tsubasa Chronicles - Remember (Bt)
Fate Stay Night - Mortal Kombat theme
Code Geass/D.Grayman - Men in Black (Will Smith)
School Rumble - Crush (Mandy Moore)
Gundam Seed Destiny - If Only (Hoobastank)
What do you guys think?

my lost quick comments......WHERE ARE THEE???
2006-11-06 19:12:09
Anyways its been bugging me for a while
I'll say this first, i love the quick comments system, its a great way for ppl who arn't willing to leave a 5-10 min opinions, but are willing to leave a quick 1 minute opinion back to the creators. Although i wished it would tell me actually WHO sent the quick comments, so i can at least thank them, or if i have a question with them, i can get in contact with them (Like say someone left a message "Eh it was OK, could use improvement", then i'd like to know how i could use improvement, id like to hear those kind of opinions, thats how i learn to do better!
Anyways back to my point. I love the quick opinions, but seems that the only way i can read them (well that i know of) is from the "New quick opinions" column on the bottom of the main member page. But the problem is that it only holds the most recent quick comments. But what if i want to see quick comments that weren't recent? is there a way to access them? is there a "My Quick Opinions" section in the member page? Please if anyone knows, PM me, thanx!!
