I see what you mean. I don't multitask when I do things. I usually focus on it. Like an AMV I'll just edit straight till it's done and same for an RPG or something. I like to think of it as dedication (since if something is good I like doing it), but it's really just retardedness since I have like..30 anime shows I (apparently) just HAVE to watch and like 4 or so video games I have bought and not played.
I think I bought Valkyrie Profile 3 years ago at that :-P. I also got Suikoden III, Xenosaga and the new Zelda. Sad that I don't feel motivated to play Suikoden III or Xenosaga since Suikoden II is my 2nd fav. game EVAR and Xenosaga is up there too. Sigh...if only I didn't have this thing called work..then I could catch up on all my nerdiness...geek level dropping :-P

Only a week? After I finish a vid, I take a break for like 2 - 4 weeks. I have so many other hobbies like video games, anime and basketball that I need to go do them again. For me it's kind of weird, but it's a cycle. Edit video, play a game, watch an anime, edit new video. It's sad how few "new" animes I have seen (or been told to see) and how many video games I have bought and are just sitting there.
Then again, I don't have many videos so perhaps I should just edit all the time :-P

That's the spirit I like to see in the community. I've noticed my best video was the one I just so happened to have the most fun doing. Perhaps there is a correlation...you think?

Anneke - I see your points, but at the same time, I personally don't make videos to please any of you (no offense). I do it for myself. I'd honestly hate to be tied to something like pleasing someone else or entertaining them. If I wanted to do that I could go into show business or something. If that's what motivates you that's fine too though. However, in terms of art, I don't think Leonardo da Vinci made the Mona Lisa to entertain people, I think he saw this woman he was painting and just wanted to create it. That's how I feel when I make videos.
I don't know who said something about talent, but..well...I hate to break it to you (and this is gonna be mean), but all of us have a different level of inherent talent and creativity. I'd like to think each of us is REALLY good at something and it just so happens that Ian and Jay are really good with effects. If you *can't* do it, then well..try something else more to your suiting.
I can't emphasize enough...it's a HOBBY! If you're willing to quit overing something so trivial I truly question why you began in the first place. -
