Ok... final renders have been created (convention and online release versions).
I thought I'd release tonight, but I thought I'd leave it till tomorrow for me to decide if I'm not just too sleepy now to actually make a thorough appraisal. I sort of want this video to do good I suppose because it's a combination of a song and anime I like, and it was created purely because of that and not because I wanted to achieve something new.
Strictly speaking though, I probably haven't ever made with the same kind of style/pacing as this one. I just noticed as well that through my journaling, it's come to my attention that work on this video started possibly late March, so almost 3 months. Also, it meant that with my last release being on the start of March, with Burly Brawl being mid-March, I can happily say I actually haven't stopped editing during this period, so it's been fairly productive.
Anyway, tomorrow might be my release date... depends if I'm really up for releasing this before AVCon... trouble is, it's like more than a month away still. -

Right... so I'm now at the point where after listening to this song for maybe 8 months now, I've gotten together enough ideas to make possibly a very worthwhile Code Geass video.
Of course my scenes were picked out from the original series, however my conundrum now lies at the fact that the second season has started. All my scenes of course would be "outdated" now.
The question I'm faced with is, do I wait for the second season and delay making this video or do I proceed with the way things are? Advantages of waiting would be that the new season is made in HD widescreen and will be fresh in people's minds and of course, not overdone. Drawback would be that I'll have to hang on to this idea again for at least another 6 months or at least until I've gathered enough scenes equivalent to my original idea, and that's assuming the second season will pan out in a similar way. Not to mention I've already placed about 20 seconds worth of scenes using old footage now and the lazy genes are yelling at me telling me that I better finish what I started.
Conundrum... I like that word. -
