  • Laboratory Exam 2006-05-21 05:54:42 Hmm... this is it... well, this I reckon is the last time I'll be this scared about my education. I have a lab exam tomorrow, in which I don't really know what to expect. I've done enough lab work throughout the semester and enough revision of methods to possibly make it to the 45% passing mark that I need. However that's not really a guarantee at this point because it seems no one really has any clue as to what to expect with this thing...

My only hope I think is if they normalise the scores afterwards and I hope there are enough people with even less of a clue than I do about what I'm doing...

There's really still the final exams to think about here, but I don't think I'll be this scared because I have plenty of time to study for them. Man, this is it... I WANT TO GET OUT OF HERE!!!
  • 10:30AM 2006-05-17 20:38:30 Wow... it's been a while since I've been in university so early...

And I have a stomach ache...

And my friend isn't here yet either so I can't really keep working on the assignment because he'll bitch later if I kept going and he was left behind... -_-

On the plus side though, a bug which we thought existed in our code wasn't there at all today after rechecking it... it was such a simple problem with the simulator (we forgot to set the "qbus" to binary 4 and instead set "q3xbus" which of course would do nothing because that is suppose to set on only when qbus is outputting to port[q3], duh)... we probably would have picked up this silly little mistake had we been awake a couple of days ago (it was at the end of a 12 hour day of programming).

So... what interesting ting have YOU done lately ^_^

  • being Manifest's biatch 2006-05-17 09:27:25 Well... it's back to the dregs for me... slowly I've been updating the Manifest website (which should have happened since January)... and it's slow boring work... mainly because I don't particularly code in php and the stuff that's up there now is in php...

Don't get me wrong... it's not that I don't know how to do it, but for websites, I've just been more of a plain html guy... and for the purposes of the Manifest website, php is not required (particularly because we cannot even make use of the database of the server).

The problem for me is that since I don't code in php, I don't have a ready fancy graphic interface program for writing php stuff... it has to be done manually -_-

Bah... too slow for my liking... and I can't really test offline since I've got no php database crap running in my computer... so I have to upload first before I see if what I coded was right to begin with...

    I want my f'n candy!

    /end nerd rant.
