Yeah, that's what I'm doing... not sleeping... when I should be. Not that there's anything really important to do tomorrow, seeing as how it's Australia Day (technically it is now), which means I can't do any of the work I wanted to do. Therefore it'd be just another day of lounging around the house.

Anyway, I freaked out a little. Because I thought things were lip-syncing on their own... which could only be because of my need of sleep. @_@
Wow, I just looked at the VCA schedule... it's going to be a very long time before we ever find out the results XD -

Hopefully this is the last edit I will be making to this video...
The changes that dimix86 told me to make weren't all that difficult to make, nor where they unreasonable. In fact, I believe this version of the trailer for the concert not only is better looking than the very first copy of it, it's actually much more of an effectively advertising tool.
However, I still got irked a bit by the re-editing... I don't think it was entirely because the particle illusion and multiple slide screen and text movement amounted to the video taking at least an hour or more rendering time. I think it was mainly because I had nothing much else to complain about these days... not because my life is "Cloud 9" or whatever, but because there's nothing going on... It's become so stagnant @_@
So... it ends up that I try to nit-pick on things, and seeing as how this is the most "exciting" thing I got right now, it's coping the most hits. Not that I'm really much of a complainer anyway, nor am I really prone to acting out these frustrations... but yeah, frustrations I could live without.
I wonder what the protocol is about this video now. It was commissioned by ANiF through dimix86, yet it's at the moment the "unofficial" trailer because they have not sought permission for the clips used in it. I have creative rights to the edit and the other effects employed on it, but does that mean that I could go ahead and upload it on my org account? Hmm... -

Been anguising a bit the past few weeks as it seemed I didn't have much to write in this here journal. However, the topic presented itself as I looked up over my garage, which would be the direction of the main highway connection to the freeway.
Tall pillars of smoke are rising above the ochre red sky. So finally the bushfires that have ravaged the state have shown themselves near my place.
No doubt it was only grass fire, probably already contained by now, nevertheless it's a very disconcerting sight to behold. Strangely, I'm not really smelling the smoke as much as I did when the fires were over a hundred kilometres away.
Our place isn't exactly bushfire hotspot... not by a long shot... there are parts of the state which have always been predicted to bring about fire year after year, but our suburb wasn't one of them. Being in the outer suburbs of Melbourne ensure that there's generally more housing rather than forestry to go up in flames. So when fire is reported our place, it just goes to show how serious it has become for us here now.
Water restrictions have entered new levels. Drought is bankrupting farmers, and I say this has been going on for a good half a dozen or more years now. Disconcerting times indeed...
