I want to make a video i really truly doo

But

Vegas videos WONT upload the file i give it. I mean it only gives me the sound clip and not the video, ive tried reinstalling , ive upgraded ive rebooted my computer completely, ive looked for codacs. i just dont know what to do, can someone please help me.
