Choping Up Clips

I fucking HATE chopping up clips. Mother of god, I would rather be killed with a spoon. A nice clean spoon. Not an old rusty one. With rust, comes edges, and with edges comes jagged corners, and with corners comes ease of killing.
BUT, I just did hours of manual labor in the Texas heat. Which means I'll have enough money to buy both samurai x deee vee dees I've been needing.

Its gonna take me a while and be really weird, but X is just as weird so its all good. More tommarow

As you all know, I'm going to A-Kon.
And with me is comming (what I think is) my best video. My Akira video called Keep Breathing.
Well A-Kon is one of the only fuckig stoneage cons that forces me to put my video on VHS. No problem right? Wrong.
Well I got my Akira footage from 2 beautifle divx files from www.sharereactor.com, but these files were in 24 fps instead of 30. I thought this was no problem at the time, and didn't cxonvert it to 30 when I had the chance. Plus, a video in 24 fps looks better because the compression algorithm only has to do 24 frames instead of 30 and therefor can pump what would be 30fps worth of bytes into 24 frames. Essentialy giving you better picture quality with no real loss.
Sounds kool huh? It isn't.
When I went to put my video on VHS after hours of fucking with all the equipment we have, I find out that you can only make VCD's (the cds that will play your music video through your dvd player) in 30 fps! When I converted my huge 5000kbs mpeg into a vcd file it was 5 minutes instead of 4:30. Don't ask me why, because logic says that if you speed up the framerate to 30 instead of 24 the video will get FASTER not SLOWER. But anyway the sound was off by a good 10 seconds on the video.
Well we were running out of ideas on what to do to fix the problem. We tried mpg2 converters (which they fucking charge you for those rat bastards) to s-video tv/out cables, to recompression, and nothing seemed to work.
I tried to just recompress the mpeg with a 3:2 pull down in TMPEG, making it 30 fps. It did this succesfully but since the algorithm for that particular feature was less then steller (SUCKS) it came out looking like an EXTREMELY interlaced peice of dog shit.
Thank god for VirtualDub. I loaded the interlaced peiece of shit into VD and put and blended the feilds together, hopeing to fix some of the problem.
AND IT DID! COMPLETELY! WOOT! I know have a 30fps video with almost NO loss of visual quality whatsoever!
