Woo hoo. I just checked and the song I'm going to use hasn't been used yet! That means that I, yes, I, can sit amoung the eliteist crew of "old skewl" AMV creators and bitch about the good old days and how all the n00bs on the scene today are fucking up our jive, ya dig.
No diggity.
Editing is going good. I've been doing about 5-6 hours per day which is a fucking marathon as far as I'm concerned. Primarily whats taking so long is I'm beingh a perfectionist on this one. On my two previous videos there were always little tiny things that bugged me, but I never fixed them since I couldn't be bothered and thought no one would notice. Well they do notice. ;)
Scene selection is what I'm really trying to get flawless this time. This is one of the least talked about, most under rated aspects of video editing. And at the same time probably THE most important aspect of it. I guess everyone just takes it for granted but you'de be surprised (well probably not) at how much DOGSHIT there is out there in the AMV world. Scene selection man. Thats where its at. Before judging the mood, before synching the beat, before adding spending 150 hours on special effects (Hi ErMac ^-^), before finding out "WHAT THE FUCK After Affects REALLY DOES", you should always just look at the scene and ask yourself "is this pleasing to the eye?" Because if it takes 150 hours of special effects to make you say "yes" then something has gone wrong.

All right. I'm about 1:40/4:00 on my new vid. Not to bad. Been editing like a mad man.
Not to toot my own horn (or however that goes) but I'm very proud of the way this thing is shaping up. Its a technical tour de force and I'm pulling off every aspect of it (and succesfully faking the rest) perfectly so far.
All I can tell you about it is its definitly not what you would expect this anime to be with. I like to do that :) Some people call it bad synchronization. I call it "fuck those people".
The video is definitly comforting to the ADD ravaged anime nerd of america, of which is my target audience. Expect the pace to be a little fast.
Also this is my best editing yet. That dosn't mean a whole hell of a lot since its my third video but each vid I've made has been exponentialy better than the previous and this is no different. I can't tell you guys how happy I am with what I got. And I'm adding more mwahahahahaha.

Wonka and I have been slacking. I've been feeling pretty uninspired lately and Morrowind hasn't helped my productivity much.
After I get back from A-Kon I promise I'll do something awesome. -
