  • 2005-09-20 17:57:14 Sub0: I'm not familiar with Madlax.

In an unrelated story, the more I watch Bakuten, the more I see that it's a lot like Sailor Moon. All of the episodes have the same general plot. Bad monster/person kidnaps Meg. Jo tries to kill the monster/person on foot, realizes she needs to use Jango. She's not winning until she remembers to get pissed and the tattoos show up. Then she wins, to find out that the monster/person/thing had a green glowing brain. Sailor Moon was the same (at least from what I remember when I was like, 11). Some monster/person is stealing some sort of life-energy crystals or something similiar from a young person (usually a schoolmate of Serena), Sailor Moon finds them, she's not winning until Tuxedo Mask shows up, then she remembers to use her tiara, and she wins.

    Not too surprising....

So I'm moving on to the next episode of Bakuten....and the suspense of what will happen in this one is killing me. (I'm only doing this for Jo's sake! I wanna know where the BALLS did she come from!?)
  • 2005-09-20 17:43:52 Only in anime would I see an underwater battle between a giant squid and a giant robot. Only in anime.
  • 2005-09-20 17:14:08 Man, Jo kicks more ass with long hair and no memory.
    Like super-emotionless chick.
I guess that's my favorite kind. I was always fond of Kikyo, my favorite character from Daphne is Yuu, my favorite from Azu is Miss Sakaki, and, of course, Lucy from Elfen Lied. Every anime that I've ever liked has had some character that fits that description. All like...cool..and jumpin' around, but her facial expression is monotone like she doesn't care that a car just blew up behind her or something. Or like, a shot grazed her and she didn't notice.....

    Sultry stoics.

I wonder if there's an anime term for those types of characters.

And to whoever wrote this as a quick comment:

"When you grow up, you'll realize that rape isn't a good subject for humour."

    1. Ed gets what's coming to him and Winry gets her revenge. THAT'S the funny part.
    2. You kinda shoulda thought of that BEFORE you downloaded it. There's a big BOLD warning on it. (Plus the name could have given you a hint, you bag of douche).

  • 2005-09-20 05:54:45 Goddamn. I tried to go to bed at like...um...2 I think...
And now it's almost 5. I sat up 10 minutes after laying down, only to puke all over the place.
I think I ate something bad. But it could be connected to whatever this sickness is that I have. I've have a headache, stuffy nose, sore throat, and a fever off and on for about two weeks. It'll go away and I'll feel better...then the next day I feel like trash again.

On the bright side I watched my new Bakuten DVD. I was downloading the fansubs so that I'd have something to watch while I waited, but the DVD ended up coming before the fansubs did! Oh, well. And as long as I'm still pumping my money into Funimation, I doubt they give a damn if I download while I wait. But now I have to wait for volume 4! Grr...

And I wanna give my failed Hellsing video another go. I think it still has potential, I just lost all interest when the project file got corrupted. I mean, who wants to have to start all over again on a near-finished project?
