  • woo hoo!!! I'm gonna go to the movies! 2001-12-03 23:38:07 Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is showing in the theatres! Cool Cool Cool! Gonna go see that in an hour. Sometimes I'm actually glad to live in this city. ^o^

    Update: Instead of Angel Sanctuary, I'll be doing a review of Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.

  • I accomplished something to day... 2001-12-02 20:56:45 Updated the PS2 Game Review section of my site and added 6 more games including Devil May Cry and THPS3. I also started writing my Anime Movie Reviews for December. This month's will be Angel Sanctuary, the Utena Movie and, of course, the Cowboy BeBop movie.

    btw, out of boredom, i figured out how to create Gendo and Kaji in THPS3 create a skater. Now, i know i've watched too much Eva! -_^ 
  • Loneliness... 2001-12-02 06:13:28 It seems there is no cure. I've watched so many depressing animes that my own loneliness is getting dangerously magnified. I just finished watching the Cowboy BeBop movie (Knockin' on Heaven's Door) And here I am sitting in a shocked stupor. Wallowing in pathetic dismay over a film. A dream... as Spike so elegantly puts it.

    Last line at the end of the credits: "Are you living in the real world?"

    Am I?

    I stoped and suddenly realized that I keep measuring up my own life to those in an animated series. It's sad. I think i just crushed myself by realizing that there aren't men who care about honor and tradition the way Kenshin does. There's no Vash out there who's going to spring out from behind a wall and save me from myself. And I'm never going to discover some hidden faith and love in my heart like Shinji. I'm just going to be me. Plain, ordinary, and real. But that's all I ever should have expected of myself to begin with.

    Life is not a dream. It's life, and in all it's waking glory, you have to accept it for what it is and make the best of what you have. Don't wait forever for the day you can be like the people on TV. They're mimicking life. Life exaggerated but life nonetheless. And while we're all busy getting obsessed with the fantasy, our reality is passing us by.

    That's what i learned today. To love myself and the friends i have while they're still here. And I think, that though I'm crying, I'm finally happy.

  • blah blah blah... 2001-12-01 07:03:36 I HATE THE FLU!!! I just got over it, and I hatethat that I had to be sick as hell for my 21st birthday! It's not fair. WAAAaaaaaAAAaaaaaAAAAAAaaaaa!!!!!!


    okay...

    now that i'm done whining...
    I saw some pretty good amvs while i browsed the good old .org this week. there's not much else to do when you can't beartoo move for too long. -_^

    So if you haven't seen them, Check out the "Love Is Flowers" & "This Is Your Life" by NightOwl pictures.

    The first is a big spoof of Utena and the screwed up love... uh... rectangle, they have.

    The second made me go out and buy Fight Club on DVD. It's Evangelion to "This Is Your Life" by the Dust Brothers. Gendo does the lyrics which simply addsto the creepy perfection. You'll like this one if you have a taste for the twisted and weird.


    Just as a random rant...

    You'll see my dilema as each would be fun in it's own way.

    Also, I have been re-hooked by Lum-chan this month. Urusei Yatsura has been running almost non-stop in my good old VCR. Too funny. It sure helps you forget illness! DARLING! ^o^

    On a final note... I reserved my copy of FFX today. Still can't decide whether or not I'll every play 11 and 12. I don't really need another SIMS episode to haunt me. -_^ Maybe this will just be a nice farewell to a wonderful series.

    Besides... there's always XenoSaga.

  • well... Happy Early Thanksgiving! 2001-11-21 22:48:36 I'm in Houston right now visiting family. suprised that a grandmother i haven't seen in years gave me $100! wow. I actually feel like someone loves me. well, enjoy your vacation, I'll see you all when i get ack saturday! ^_^ Eat Drink and Be Merry!
