ok now the suspense is starting to get to me... @_@
i've got a couple of quick comments from people who saw my video at ushicon (decent comments by the way), but there's still been no public announcement as to the winners. does anyone know how this usually works? do they only e-mail the winners or do the results go in the amv.org forums or something?
i'm at the point where i don't even care how i did, since i succeeded in making my videos just that bit more well known (which is why i enter cons in the first place), but i really want to know who DID win. i want to be able to download their videos and see where i lost and why. i hope i'm not the only one who prefers to do that rather than to sulk over losing.... does ANYONE know who did win? if you just happen to read this and you DO know, PM me on the forums PLEEEEAAASE!!!!!!!! -

whilst at the same time someone (in a bass voice) repeats the word 'Burn' (x200) - yaaaaagh..... 2006-01-26 05:30:48 Ushicon is on tomorrow!!!! this is my second time ever entering an amv contest and i've entered my two best videos. i'm so nervous, i've got no clue what the competition's like, or anything. i've got no way of seeing what i'm up against and i won't know anything unless i actually get an award. wish me luck ^^;;

Oh god i'm so happy right about now. I just got one more opinion on Chop Suey, and now my Action Sync, Audio, Lip Sync, Special Effects and Overall are all above global average!!!!!! thank you sweet lord, i could not be happier right now!!!! this is the greatest feeling in the world ^^.
i guess miracles happen and goals can be achieved, best of luck to all of you there ;) -

i think for my first time ever on the org i am getting a sweet taste of success, albeit only a little. Only a few people know this, but i only have two real goals here on the org; 1) to get one of my videos in the top 10%, and 2) get my average opinions above global average.
I severely doubt if i will make the top 10% anytime soon, but Chop Suey - no. 357 is helping to boost my ratings a little, and now i'm only 0.01 off having my action synch equal global average. a modest goal in one way, but i'm still struggling to achieve it ^^;;
One thing that has left me smiling all week, is the quick responses i get from viewers of chop suey. I've only had 89 hits and 22 downloads in the three days it's been up, but i've got 3 opinions and 2 quick comments so far. I'm not sure if that's standard appreciation for videos that break even around here, but i'm guessing some of the pros would know that better than me.
I've also entered bittersweet and chop suey into the Ushicon Go amv competition this Saturday. If I'm lucky, this could well be my first ever award in an amv competition.
