Even my mum came to me saying that this was indeed a strange event, and not one that would happen often, so james and i should take this time to get anything we truly want.

i was near outraged at this and of course i flatly refuse to accept such mindless charity nor do i welcome such exploitation.

if i was to take advantage of my dad's generosity here, i would become an epitome of hypocrisy.

true enough james and i are both receiving large gifts from him, but the circumstances are different: James' new mac is for uni, as he needs several visual production systems to work well, and he needed a mac not a pc. As for my getting a new guitar, it's for my birthday, encompasing as a gift from mum, dad, and grandma, and i'm paying for half of it anyway.

i haven't confronted E about it, but i've long since expressed my displeasure to dad, and i've hinted my thoughts to issy and sarah but man they are full if it at the moment.
