- Got report? 2003-05-01 11:22:10 That's what I need, a report. A book report to be specific. And I havent started reading the book. Correction, I am 50 pages into the book. It's due tomorrow and I have some dinner thingy to attend tonight. In terms of music videos, I have an idea for FLCL, but I want to buy the dvd's which aren't available. The first one is out but none of the others, with dub at least. Don't get me wrong, I'm always prefer the sub over the dub, but if I'm gonna buy the dvd's, I might as well get both. I think I'll have to come up with another idea before then so I can turn in another video before the school year's over. Perhaps that whole Simpson's parody. That would be tough. I would have to search through a LOT of source footage for the right clips. The idea is a certain anime (not saying on here!) with the simpsons theme and the anime looks like the theme. Or has the same movements. Or something. I think I know someone with a simpsons dvd. I'll have to hunt them down. Time to WORK now.

To xvid or not to xvid?

Today was really bothersome. I wanted to show my new video at school to some people, but their school computers and lack any codecs not used in xp. So I had to re-encode the video into mpeg4 v3 so they could run it. Well, I burned the video on a cd and viola!.......I accidently put the wrong version of the video on the cd and thus need to wait until Friday to show it to others. I'm thinking about using some good mpeg codecs now that don't require codecs off the internet. But then again I suspect most people who watch videos have divx via nimo or other means. So I'm still debating looking into other codecs. Well, actually I will look into other codecs, but whether or not I'll use them is a good question.

Something happened that I never thought would. Ok, so a while ago my friend Bryan suggested doing Fuel to Initial D. I looked it up and didn't see that song for Initial D. I swear I didn't. But APPARENTLY my friend pointed out to me that there was a video released in January with that song and Initial D. I know I put the idea on hold for quite a while and probably forgot to recheck to see again if anyone had done that. Crap, I don't like doing this at all, but the video is done save for intro and outro credits, plus exporting. Ah well, can't be perfect.
Well, time to get those credits and encoding done, and also dl that other Fuel video, just to see it. - Two Journal entries? 2003-04-21 09:49:19 It occurred to me that I already write a journal for a school class of mine. So it logically makes sense to write one for both. Overall the weekend was pretty good. Nothing particularly good happened, but nothing bad either. This Easter for me was waking up after four hours of sleep to eat breakfast with family. That was about it. I worked on my new video some more, almost done with it. I'm trying to get some people to peer edit it and tell me all the things I can't see. Speaking of peer edits, I need some for a real class too. I suppose I should get that taken care of before next block so I can revise it and make it (it being a play) decently good. Ever notice how that when soda/drinks are available, you aren't thirsty. But when you don't have anything to drink, you suddenly become thirsty? I think that's a cruel joke.

A journal.....perhaps it's an idea worth undertaking. What's new? Well, since this is my first journal entry, everything's new. In terms of videos, I broke one! Then fixed it. It caused me to be flipping out for a while. Something was odd and stuff and eventually it fixed itself spontaniously, kinda sorta. I'm looking to have some of my friends look at it and tell me all the things I did HORRIBLY wrong ^_^
As for right now, since no one's on that I want to send this video to, I'll just get a wiffleball bat, a mag-light, and proceed to run around hitting people with it. WOOHOO!
