  • If 4Kids got Death Note - Oh the humanity! 2009-05-07 23:43:23 A lot of people have thought of this before, but here's mine and my sister's take on it. These are just notes, but even then, it may be enough to make you throw up, so I suggest having a trashcan nearby. It's like painting over the Mona Lisa with finger paints (to improve the artwork! ) To be worked on whenever the crap I get around to it
    • Shadow Note – Shadows, no death, “The human whose name is written in this note shall disappear.”
    • No Japanese words. All English.
    • NAPPER – not KIRA, b/c Kira comes from Killer. No capes. Nobody dies in 4Kids. The Napper kidnaps people all over the world. But how is that possible?! OMGWTFBBQ?!
    • Shinigami – no death, no gods. No demons. Too religious… Shadow Monster… crap… Shadow Spirit. You know what, Shadow Monster is fine.
    • Light Yagami = Yagami = Night God = Light Knight
    • They’re in America now
    • Need nicer, kid-friendly, original, English, rap music
    • Must censor blood and religious references
    • So the opening has to be redone – using clips from the show instead of the awesome opening that was made for it
    • Misa is now whiner and bitchier than before (wow). Didn’t think it was possible. And she sounds like a 12 year old
    • Sailor L says “East your vegetable and brush your teeth and get exercise outside, like playing tennis.”
    • Ryuk would sound like Yami Bakura (not so bad. It’s like getting a bullet in the arm instead of getting the arm chopped off)
    • Episodes will be cut if they’re not important enough – just like the tennis episode, because Cartoon Network doesn’t think it’s important enough
    • Light is in his last year of middle school, then transfers to high school. Because you can’t have a 4kids character in college
    • Light has to sound like Kaiba
    • Chief Knight has to sound like Yugi’s grandpa
    • Just need to cut out some of the scarier scenes (You mean the cooler scenes…
    • Mello is the leader of Team Mello (and the bald guy is his henchman)
    • SPK is now SPN
    • Sid is Sid
    • Mello and Missy are long lost twins

    - Light gets the notebook
    - Criminals start disappearing
    - Ryuk shows up
    - Light wants to be the King of the New World
    - ICPO meeting
    - Lind L Tailor disappears
    - L is L
    - Still gets followed by the FBI
    - Makes Ray disappear
    - Makes Naomi disappear
    - Light meets L (under whatever retarded English pseudonym they give him)
    - The Second NAPPER appears
    - Missy Armani appears, she’s in love with Light
    - L apprehends Missy (got to do something about her being tied up though)
    - Light goes to jail, gets rid of notebook
    - When they release Light and Missy, Chief Knight points an invisible gun at Light’s head (because policemen don’t carry guns). He simply accuses Light of being the Napper and says he’ll go to jail for the rest of his life.
    - The fight scene between Light and L – it is highly implied that you are hitting me
    - Iber and Weddy are NOT criminals. They are super secret spies
    - Now the McDonald's Corporation is making their competitors disappear.
    - Light gets his memories back and makes the Third Napper disappear
    - Then he makes L disappear
    - Roger gets the message “L is Missing.”
    - Mello and Near are as is.
    - Team Mello kidnaps Sarah
    - They get Sarah back
    - Phase 2?
    - Phase 3 = Profit
    - Chief Knight disappears
    - Mello blows up but doesn’t die and comes out without a scratch
    - Light gives a notebook to Mitchell
    - Katey Tucker becomes Light's girlfriend
    - She gets kidnapped by Mello (BUT she does not get nakey, Mello disappears and so does she. Without a trace. No fires)
    - Light and Near meeting in the warehouse. Light is revealed as the Napper. Mickey points his finger at him, Light is randomly injured, and it all leads to Ryuk sending Light to the Shadow Realm.
    - And no pretty ending. Just the regular kind.

    So enjoy the Americanized, bastardized, kid-friendly version of Death note! ^.^ 
  • This just in - Haruhi is a bitter old almond 2009-03-17 21:58:30 I found a shiny orange ribbon on the floor and it reminded me of Haruhi Suzumiya. Not a fan of the show, but I know what she looks like. My sister says, "No, her ribbon isn't orange. It's red." And I say, "No, it's either orange or it's yellow - but definitely not red." So I do a Googley search and find out it's yellow, and I say "Iero" (ye-ro, like yellow). My sister asks, "What?" And I say, "Iero." "Yero?" "Iero." "Yero?" "Amarillo!" (Ama-riyo, that be Spanish). And she purposely mispronounces as asks, "So what's amaretto." And I answer truthfully - "...I's a flavor made from bitter almonds?" And she asks, "So why is Haruhi wearing bitter almonds on her head?" And I rant, "'Cause she's a bitter old almond, that's why!"




    Oh and PS - Broly sucks. We attempted to watch that movie and I felt like throwing up... or maybe that was just the bad veggie wrap coming back to haunt me.

  • KIRA is God 2009-01-22 17:23:22 To all Death Note fans out there, I'd like some people to do some beta testing for a video of mine.

    Now mind you, I'm looking strictly at clips being used to music. I don't want to hear about video quality or subtitles (this is just a test. I kept the video small, therefore quality is not my concern here). I want to make sure that when I do save the video in high quality, the clips I use are good (high quality is pointless if the video just plain sucks). So, what clips go with the song, what clips don't, and/or what clips should be added if need be?

    It's called "KIRA is God" - using the song by Queen known as The Seven Seas of Rhye (which has nothing to do with the ocean. It's all about being a venegful god. Light, no?)

  • The nature of the beast 2007-07-05 10:14:25 Putting up videos for download means people who will take them, put them on youtube, and not give credit. I hate it. I've spent the last hour searching for any and all of my videos on the internet that people didn't give credit to me or route it back to amv.org. My brain and stomach both hurt respectively. But it has told me one thing - Ryuuichi Sakuma rocks. I found that video all OVER the freaking place. What can I say? People love Ryuu, and I made a damngood Ryuu video. Fangirls owe me something for this... like money... or Ryuu... maybe some chicken nuggets, I don't care. ^.^
