  • I has a magic dollar! :D 2010-01-21 12:21:27 This bulletin was posted on Jan 21, 2010

100 days ago exactly, I was walking to the bus stop to catch a bus to school. It was a dark and rainy day, and the roads were slick and wet with water all about them.

While crossing the crosswalk, I looked down in a puddle. To my surprise, there was a poor little dollar bill drowning in the puddle, alone, forgotten, run over a couple of times - and heads up.

So I picked up the poor dirtied bill and wiped him off, let him dry, and named him Lucky George :D

It's said that if you find a penny heads up, you get good luck for a day. "Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you'll have good luck." So a dollar = 100 pennies, so that's 100 days of good luck.

I took a green permanent marker and drew a four-leaf clover on the dollar, along with the day the luck would run out so I would know when to spend it. Today was that day.

So I took Lucky George out of my pocket, straightened him out (having been crumpled in my pocket several times), said goodbye and put him in a soda machine. And guess what? I got TWO sodas out of it! :D It really WAS a lucky dollar!!!

Thanks Lucky George! I'll miss you old buddy.

  • Hooked on Hetalia 2009-07-28 17:28:26 What a funny little show it is. The part that gets me is the episodes are only FIVE MINUTES LONG! So short T_T. That's probably why it gets stuck in your head - because as soon as it starts it's done. And you want more.

It's like Azumange Daioh... 'cept with boys. Silly Osaka is Italy, Cranky Yukari is Germany, Quiet Sakaki is Japan. And Tomo? I guess she can be America - you know, the loud and annoying one :D

And the ending song is killer. You'll be singing it all day. Although it reminds me of that kids' song Bingo. "There was a German who had a friend, and Italy was his name-o! I-T-A-L-Y! I-T-A-L-Y! I-T-A-L-Y! And Italy was his name-o!"

...Okay, so maybe the ending doesn't really go like that, but it's something like that.

And if you haven't figured out what Hetalia is, then you need to (especially if you have a test on WWII coming up! :D)

    Peace out! Maru kaite chikyuu.....
  • No title can suffice... 2009-05-17 15:41:31 I'm just simply amazed at how rich one can make fictional characters out to be. Though they are not real in our world, so much depth and humanity can come from a great story.

I just re-watched the ending to Death Note, and I love the final scene on the stairs - as Light is dying, his final thoughts are not on Misa, not on his passed father, nor on any of his family members - but of L.

L was the only worthy rival, and even friend, that Light ever had - and vice versa. Each one sparked the other to be as smart as they possibly could be.

Was this Light's little glimpse of Heaven before passing into nothingness? Did L come to see him one last time? To say goodbye? Or even thank you?

Though they never hugged or kissed, though they never really shared much emotion with each other, there was something there. I don't know if you'd call it love, but there was definitely respect - a complex and indescribable friendship of some kind - truly of God and the Devil. Though there was no romance, Light Yagami and L Lawliet... were soulmates... and had Light continued on into another life, I'm sure L would have found him there too, and then they could have continued playing their game, forever and eternity.

  • Bwa ha ha 2009-05-11 16:50:40 As the title implies, I'm slightly crazed at the moment. Please leave a message after the bleep. Bleep.

I finally finished THE video. And I did it the way that everybody SAYS I should make a video. I bought the DVDs, I ripped them using the DVD Decrypter, I used music straight from a CD, I editing the entire damn thing in Premiere - and all of this was AFTER I had already had a beta version! (or two or six). And I started work on this damn video (planning and all) back in AUGUST of last year. So like I said, I'm crazy at the moment.

I'll tell you more when I actually upload the thing.

But here's what you'll notice - at the end of the video, it will say "Spayd the Superhero." Why? Because quite frankly I'm more popular on The Site That Shall Not Be Named. (Starts with a "You" and ends with a "Tube"). I was thinking of chaning my Org name to be spaydthesuperhero, but I like Niji Tsuki. It sounds pretty. So, life is as is. Moving on.

Oh, and PS, funny thing I found about about that last post - the 4Kids Death Note thing? - I changed Mogi's name to John, just boring old John; funny thing is, his voice actor's name is John! Oh the hilarity.
