WE WON!!!! I still don’t believe it, we won! We left the teachers, 5VA and 5VB (and all the other classes not worth mentioning *cough* 4H *cough*) far behind. This is great! The first time my class won! ^____^ That meant that we got a free ice-cream (he, it is a prize!) and our class-picture will be hanging in the school for the next 10 years or so (still have pictures hanging from the winners of 1991). Only bad thing, it is a picture made after the presentation, meaning us in diapers O.o Well, at least we’ll have eternal fame! ^____^

And the winner is…

I hope we won with the sport days… I mean, I left the building at 15.40, with only 2 sports and the poster and extra presentation left to go. At that moment my class was first in total point score, ahead of the teachers with 44 points. Poster, we’ll do ok (we HAVE to! I made the damn thing all by myself and it bursts out with it’s bright colors), presentation, we were excluded through a pre-round (but I talked to the jury and they won’t let someone win first place with this). Table football, we screwed up (last place -.-) and softball, we did OK. I think we still had a chance to win (but more importantly we surpassed 5VB and the teachers on that subject)
Our joker was well spend. Cross-run with Karlijn 1st with the girls and Rene 3rd with the boys, so overall 1, meaning maximum points doubled ^_^
Good chance. Still, nothing is sure yet. I’ll hear the total score tonight at the school party.

Embarrassed? Of course not!

Sport days in school. Oh dear… These are normally the days that hang between major fun and major depression. Still, for the first time in history, I might be enjoying myself with this… event.
The presentation of our class… Oh… My… God… Remember the theme of our class: baby boom? Well, we dressed up as babies, meaning walking around in diapers, caring stuffed animals. A classmate, Femke, had some pink make-up with her and colored our cheeks bright pink, even those of the boys! And we had to do this really embarrassing dance to a mixed song with ‘baby’ in it. Strange I found it so much fun…
We did win with that presentation. Even beat the teachers! :D Ha, putting them back in place for once! Well, it was logical. I mean, the entire school (O.o Bloody Hell… they were ALL watching us…) was cheering when we were dancing.
Tomorrow will be another day full with sports. Today I had basketball. Didn’t do that bad, about 5th of the 10. I mean, could have been worse, no?
In the total point score we are now second, 5VB still ahead of us with 27 points. Not that bad, they already used the joker to double the points of a single contest, we haven’t. Tomorrow will be the day: Rene and Karlijn are doing the ‘Cross-run’, a long distant running circuit. Till this moment, Rene won each year with this thing, so I hope he will do now too. It would be great if we would win (I’ve never won before T.T).
Let’s hope all goes well and I don’t mess up (like I always do). We can do this! Go 5VC! Go Baby Boom!!!

Where the wind blows…
2005-07-04 08:14:01
I was supposed to deliver a note today at the store where I’m going to work, but awful weather is up ahead. The sky is pitch-black, the wind is blowing like a mad-man. It’s almost frightening. If I were to deliver the note today, I would have to walk, because I can’t ride against the wind head on on my bicycle, I’m afraid.
*switches on the light* This is not normal. You should see it, first time I see it… I got my glasses about a month and a half ago. My eyes are horrible, my eyesight only 10%. People look strange at me as I tell them, but I never knew it any different: that was my world. I didn’t know any better, I thought it was normal… This is really the first time I see the clouds passing by in the sky like this, that I see the trees bending this much, seeing the leaves being torn of the branches. Amazing, frightening…
Leaves flying horizontally past my window. Oh dear… There is the first soft rain. It will become more intense in seconds, I know. I’ve been on my way home so many times after school and it started raining. It’s a normal scene here on the streets.
There it goes. The storm has begun. I feel sorry for the man riding on the street, he doesn’t even have a coat. Understandable, it was so warm this morning… The trees look gray, I can barely see the leaves anymore…
Time to call it an end, time to go downstairs. My little kitten must be terrified. Her first time too…

Shame on you…

*twitch twitch*
‘You’ve got to be kidding me?!’ See that? That was the way I reacted when I saw the awful sight of an AMV without an opinion. Not just that: a no opinion, first AMV, submitted about week ago, by someone who has been a member of this site since 2003. If you dare to put up your first AMV, if you have the gusts to create... At least give them the credit they deserve!
That is just something I can’t stand. It just isn’t fair. They put a whole lot of hours in those AMV’s (well, I suspect so…) and so many people don’t even take the time to put up a review. How long does it take? OK, I admit, my opinions (now-a-days) are long, they take me half an hour to write, if not longer, but you could send a short opinion too!
Say what you liked, what not. Just pointing out the most extinguishing things helps the creator. Say ‘you can improve this’ or ‘I noticed that…’. You have no idea how much you can help a creator with even those little things. And how long does it take, a short review with about 50 words? 5 minutes, at most. Is it that difficult?
Come on, people, they deserve it! The creators make that AMV.org is what it is. They make what we wish to see. At least give them something back: your voice, your opinion. They deserve it!
