I'm Still Here!
2002-10-21 14:57:43
Hello everyone (as if anyone reads these things).
I'm still around. I was out of town on an internship all summer (away from my computer! sob!) so I couldn't do any AMV work for MONTHS. I'm suffering from some serious withdrawal here! But I've got some great new ideas and my Powerpuff Girls video is half done, so I'm going to be getting some good videos out sometime soon I hope. That is, if my schedule allows. I think this has to be my busiest semester yet!
I did some work on my first video, "Avada Kedavra." I removed about half the Sailormoon clips in there (there are WAY too many in the first version) and added some new stuff from some other series. The mix of clips is MUCH better now. However I will not be adding the latest version to AMV.org until I get the subtitles removed, and I have no idea how long that will take me. Anyway, that's just a status report on me as if anyone wanted to know. ^_~

Positive Stuff! Amazing, ne?
2002-06-01 00:42:33
Whee! I got a couple positive comments on my first video! That makes me feel sooooo much better. I was afraid everybody hated the video. =(
I got some footage from some new anime I've been watching that I'd like to use to replace a few of the Sailormoon scenes in "Avada Kedavra," and I'm working up the motivation to actually work on the video again. Version 2.0 will have better video quality, no subs, and new scenes.
I've finally found the time to start a new video! I'm setting my Usagi and Mamoru video, "Forever and Ever," aside for now because I realized I'm just not going to be able to locate the scenes I need. Boo. Anyway, my new project is a fight video featuring the Powerpuff Girls! I know the Puffs are not really anime but I just have to make this video, I've been dying to for a long time. Plus, since PPG is an American cartoon, I don't have to worry about subs! Heehee! It's mainly a butt-kicking video showing the Puffs' strong fighter sides. I have about two minutes of the video completed right now and I love how it's turning out. I'm really excited to finish this because I think it's going to be a great one! It's taking me longer than I thought, however, because I'm using a pretty fast song and matching scenes to the lyrics takes a lot of scenes and a lot of timing work. But I know when I finish it will be well worth it! =D

Sigh.

I like my first video, Avada Kedavra. I was very proud of it. My friends like it too. But apparently nobody else likes it. Or they just don't feel like commenting. Sigh.

No Comments! =(

120 people have downloaded my first video, "Avada Kedavra," and I've only received one very negative comment. Does my video suck THAT much? Needless to say, not very encouraging results here. But after spending all that money for a capture card and software I'm sure as heck not going to stop making AMVs. So I'll just have to hope I manage to improve my work. ^_~

My First Video is Posted!
2002-01-26 00:58:43
Sweetness! I posted up my first video! I hope people like it and give me comments so I can improve. Now I can concentrate on my next project, which is a romantic video about Usagi and Mamoru from Sailormoon. If you're not a fan of Sailormoon, please don't turn away in disgust without reading the rest of my ramble. I actually created this video a couple of years ago in AVI format but I never posted it anywhere because the quality was crap. I really loved the video and now that I have MPEG POWER I want to remake it as the best video I can. Sailormoon was the series that got me into anime, and of course I have since moved on to bigger and better favorites, but I feel like I owe it to my old "masterpiece" to give it the quality a real AMV deserves. So, in short, my next project (which I have already started) is a romantic Sailormoon video titled "Forever and Ever."
