also, stating that you're sticking with wmm because it's easier.
this hobby has a learning curve. don't be married to one of the low end programs. aspire to improve your technical knowledge and knowledge of higher end programs.
theres nothing wrong with using WMM as a temporary, but not even trying/wanting to learn another program doesn't show dediction to the hobby.
really, the only valid excuse to not get a higher end program in my eyes is the money issue. if you're commited to the hobby, you should want to improve in every way.
if you feel differently, maybe this isn't the right hobby for you.

reguarding your second post down -
your OS will not magically change the quality of your video
neither will your processor
nor will the fact that you encoded it in the most recent divx, as divx is backward compatable.
divx is not dvd quality. it's not near dvd quality either.
xvid has a superior file size to image quality ratio over divx. you likely got some settings wrong when encoding.
no, i have not watched your video, but what is stated above is fact. if it looks like crap to others but not you - guess what? you're biased :/ -

at work. may take a nap again tonight. wonder how long i can do this before my boss comes in unexpectedly :/
honestly, i don't think he would GAF. he's quitting in like a week and a half anyways. already put in his 2 week notice.
at this point, i'm about to set my ringer to just loud enough to wake me when someone calls, lean my chair back, close my eyes and - well, that sounds fuckin good.
