Mhmm... This wasn´t a bad ideas to start this project.
I saw that my idea wasn´t formed enough to be able to suit a whole song. So I get a impression of wich ideas will go better. -> The new project is on ice
You often think that some part of the songs will definatly fit to some scenes. Well they´re the things that finally turn me on to start a project. Just try those parts even if you know that the project will never be done. In my opinion it´s great to gather some more experience.
All in all I think you get a better feeling for a lot of stuff and I got more self confiedence that my last project wich is/was on ice isn´t that unrealistic as I thought. I will definatly continue it, because all in all I was right to start this one after my last finished one. Way to go!!! Weee...
Video games are a bad thing though. They give you fast fun without a lot of effort. They keep you away from editing and make you lazy. =/ Screw them all! Even if they´re awsome :3 -

First: A happy new year for the whole org! You´re great.
My amv year 2008:
-The negative
It was more or less frustrating. Yeah it really was. I expected much more from me and I ended more or less to be my own drama queen. I better should stop this habbit. Some people might call it burning out. Maybe it´s for others, but I don´t plan on give up amvs and I´m still full of ideas. It´s just that playing on my 360 seams to be a more easier way to spend my freetime. Anyway if I´m fed up with gameing I´ll come back to editing. Circle of hobbies.... =P
So let´s see this year as more or less a break. It´s the year where I watched and downloaded the least amvs since... I think 2002 or since I began. I hardly was on instant messangers.
I´ll definantly don´t lower my expectations on my amv year 2009, but I simply won´t make one. This way I let it come and I won´t be frustrated.
-The positive
There is still a lot of positive stuff. I try to recall it in chronological order.
There was The Improv Project this year where I made a nice part wich makes me happy.
Me & Mac made a damn good and funny intro for the biggest amv contest in our country. I´m sure that this intro won´t be forgotten for a long time. Our ideas where very good on this. I´m pleased with it because I´m thinking about starting to study something media orientated this year. Therefor you need to be able to edit for different audiences. It really worked well with this intro.
I released "Never Giving Up", wich is (hands down) a not too special Melancholy of Haruhi vid, but I like it. Before I started to watch the series and thought about thinking to make an AMV with different scenes. You know all the common scenes in the majoritiy of Haruhi scenes =/ Ok it didn´t worked because the series is already slaughtered to death, but my vid still turned out to be good for me. At least I can say that there is no dance scene in it =P
I won "Best Video" on the biggest local contest in the pro category. I´m really proud of it because I always wanted to call me the best of my country. Yeah I can somehow do it for a while. Don´t think that I take it too serious =P The other editors gave me a really good competition and I´m proud to see such good talents in my country. I can still say that I´m the international most popular austrian amv editor, but I can´t really call me the best. In my opinion other people have to say and judge it.
Speaking of popularity. In the internet it´s quite ok and real life it´s somehow small, but people know me by now. Especially when I´m on a convention in Austria and when there are other editors around. It´s good to see that my stuff gets apprecited, because this keeps me continuing it.
My taste gets apprecited. Yeah it does and that´s why I´m glad that I finished this year my (I see it that way) best amv ever. "Eve - The Perfect Human" (-> Eve) is really a masterpiece for me. It pleases me that it´s a "Love it or hate it, but nothing in between" video. The whole amv is something that I always wanted to create beside my already existing video Deus Machina. The creapiness, the style,... I´m just proud of it.
It dissapoints me to see less people to know this video. I thought that it will become far more popular. It must be this special taste and the lack of opinion exchanges. I´ll make a censored version for the VCA and other stuff. I really want this video to become more popular. It´s about presenting others my hard work.
My most popular amv is Different Realities and it will be for a while I guess. It even reached the 10k hit mark here. On YT it also does quite well. Can I take this attention and give it some other vid? =|
Oh yeah I also made a qite nice Hot Coffee part for this years contest. Have your eyes on the announcement forums for the full mix. This year was the best Hot Coffee year ever. There is a lot of high quality this year!
2008, Dreizehn asked me to be a judge in another local amv contest. It was the first time for me and I made a lot of friends at the convention and I´m now a member of the community behind it. They are really nice with a lot of cool people.
It was fun to be a judge and I guess that I´ll be judge for 2009 too.
I made friends with Dreizehn and his now a member of our amv studio [LGS] too. A good editor with nice ideas. I always look forward to his vids.
A yeah I also made a small "presentation" of the best austrian amvs at a community meeting of this com behind the contest and convention. It was quite cool ^^
Have a good year again! I´m sure I´ll have it. Looking back gives me new self confidence and new ideas for new full length amvs. Have a good time! ^^ -

I´m pissed. I got the DVD as christmas present and I know that it costs 20 EURO! >_<
It has only the movie on it. No trailers, no extra, nothing more. btw. The edition with the bonus dvd costs 30 €. Wow. This blows =/
