Cool. My gf has a lot of great ideas that help me out with some stuff. You know that people with other thoughts can have great thoughts to complete your ideas, but I never noticed it that strong.
She also made me a nice banner for me ^^ I hope it gets approved =P
..and you can imagine that I skipped a heartbeat when she asked me for Adobe After Effects for her Mac.
huhuhu... sooner or later sheīll hopefully makes her own amvs. At least she has tons of ideas in her head.

Additional to last entry + my opinion about the OnLive system:
2009-03-26 11:11:36
Oh I forgot that the introduction websites are in german. Here you have an introduction to OnLive and Zeebo in english. There might be better netural sites on the net though... :
http://www.onlive.com/index.html
http://www.zeeboinc.com/
@Melee:
Well the first thing that I noticed in your journal was my name in bold letters. Am I egocentric now? =P
Thanks for being interessted in my journal. heh /D
Hey you journal reader! Yeah I really mean you!!! You better read my previous entry now for better understanding ;D
You asked for my opinion about OnLive, Melee:
It would be the future of gameing and I would apprecite it for a good price, but I doubt that OnLive will be possible in this form. In my opinion there are good alternatives. Letīs keep network latency beside... I think that it would be possible to play 16bit classisc in an OnLive way over the internet. It would be pretty cool.
Mhmm... I donīt think that it would work good. The best 16bit games are in my opinion from the SEGA and Nintendo systems. They already have theire own distribution methods with the Wii and the Xbox Live systems. I canīt really imagine that they would agree to distribute theire games over OnLive. At least on the systemīs start.
However... EA and Ubisoft already have an aggreement with OnLive, so there might be a good chance that SEGA and Nintendo agree too.
Oh and btw.: According to SEGA: There are rumors that they want to start a new console project. At least they already got a patent for a console name...
At least the OnLive system would work for films in general. Well thatīs a old hat on the market, am I right?
Well in case of latency over the net:
You could also download the old 16bit classics to your local drive of your OnLive console and play it from there. It wouldnīt be a lot of hardware innovation needed. However it would lead to piracy and isnīt really the meaning of the original OnLive consept.

A blink on state of the art video encoding and broadband possibilities
2009-03-26 10:45:15
Someone said that I should write more random entries. Mhm letīs see...
My studio mate and best friend Mac sent me some links about a new console generation. One of the two consoles is the OnLive with a truely revolutionary concept:
The console has hardly any hardware. You connect to a server were your game runs and you get it streamed as video on your tv threw the consol at 720p and 60fps. So everything runs over the internet and you need nothing more than an OnLive console and a joypad.
Sounds pretty cool because you wonīt have to buy games or expensive hardware anymore. Industry also wouldnīt have to fear piracy.
On the other hand OnLive faces some serious problems. They claim to have new technologies that make the current state of the art obsolete. So why donīt we take a specific look on the technical side and the resulting problems that needed to be solved?
This article is an announcement of the new consoles OnLive and Zeebo:
http://www.consolewars.de/news/24191/gdc_09_zwei_neue_konsolen_betreten_den_markt/
and this one actualy talks about the technical conflicts of the OnLiveīs new gameing concept:

Itīs pretty interessting for me and... *interrupts writing*
God. What was that? *silence* Cheez... Those ninja hugs really come always out of nowhere. Curse you Meleee for affrighting me!!!11
So where did I stopped? Oh now I remeber...
Well the second article is pretty interessting for me and though. Itīs a well written article about network/hardware and video encoding issues. Give it a try... ;D
Thanks again to Mac for sending me the articles!
btw.: Am I right and the first thing you read in this article was Curse you Meleee for affrighting me!!!11 ? lol thatīs a nice start to begin entries. I think I fell in love with this new journal feature to format text ^_^
