oh btw. an addition to the last entry:
I think I'll stick to 60fps from now on. It's not that much effort to work with 60fps and if I don't need them I can still render out a version with lower fps, right?
@Melee: Plants vs. Zombies is the Awesomeness too!

The difference between 23.978 and 60fps? The Awesomeness!
2009-05-20 18:21:38
So last weekend I had the chance to see 60fps in it's full glory. I rendered an older AMV from Mac because he wanted to release it some day.
The source is 23.978 and if you know Mac's videos: Damn. His videos are so damn fast and speeded up.
Anyway I rendered a regular 23.978 edition and than I thought:
"Hey it's Sony Vegas. It's damn easy to set 60fps in project properties and to render out a 60fps video."
... and I did it and the difference between 23.978 fps and 60fps is: Awesomeness.
The video was so much more smoother. It was like I was able to see more stuff from all this speed up-clip mix. It felt way more realistic and somehow unreal, because it was a completly new viewer experience for me.
If you have a strong enough system and you used a lot of custom camera motion and speed changes: Give it a try. Set the project settings to 60fps and render a 60fps edition out. It's just awesome...... =D =D =D

Cellphone - And the crap that's called "a cellphone" || The Cellphone Rant
2009-05-06 15:42:23
It's time for a new cellphone!
However... it's a pain in the ass to find a new one. Please do me one favor and always read user reviews of the stuff you want to buy. Especially reviews with low scores.
You know what? I looked up for various cellphones that I liked and all of them had critical problems with broken buttons, software errors (hocked up like a Windows 95 PC...), low data transfer (come on! 2 hours for 2GB via USB "2.0"?), bad customer support (I'm looking at you Nokia and Sony Ericsson!)...
If you have one of the models for over a year than please share your experience with me:
SE - W580i
SE - k770i
SE - S500i
Nokia - 5310
Is it that hard to find a new worthy cellphone?
Maybe you remeber the old times where we were young teens and Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit ruled our musical world with there first glorious records.... and when cellphones started to become popular for teens and everyone. It's the time of the good gold Nokia 3210:

Yes! You remeber this tank of a cellphone. Seriously, do you know any case of a broken 3210? At least I don't and it was a extremly popular cellphone! In my opinion it's at least popluar as the iPhone today.
Where are all those beasts of cellphone gone? Where is my new type of 3210 or good old Siemens-phones? All gone!
All we got after this awesome era of indistructable phones was a series of phones with shitty colour display. One of my friends has still a 3310 and it's still working great.
You know last summer I worked as software engineer for cellphones and I worked with various phones and companies. The worst shit ever is Samsung with it's bloody fake iPhones and simpel phones. The navigation is a REAL pain in the ass and it didn't worked at all for the first iPhone-clone. Samsung = cramp for me. I'm still annoyed that I have a Samsung harddisc in my laptop. Even if other Samsung products seam to be alright. I let them pay for theire shitty cellphones with a passion >_<b
Motorola is a smaller cramp, but still a cramp.
Nokia... Not bad, but they also have shitty ones. They got way worse in therms of robust products.
Sony Ericsson. Ok it's not perfect, but it's my mobile-communication-weapon of choice. it's just my cup of tea.
"It's MAYBE time for a new cellphone" *
*fixed
When I look at my 3 year old SE-k750i I see a dusty display, a couple of broken headphones, some critical software errors, which I was able to fix, a half dead navigation button, but in the end it's alright for 3 years of excessive use.
Maybe it's really not the time for a new phone. I mean my phone is still working great. It has errors, but that's nothing that I couldn't fix with a simpel reboot.
*sigh*
I don't know what to do... At least I will keap my old one. Mhm. Maybe I should also give my cellphones names, because I keep them over couple of years. .-.
hey wait... I didn't looked up LG cellphones. The Chocolate-typ was quite nice. A last hope? =/ .... nnnn I feel cynic.
